I’m just not sure how much they have the power to change. They can get smarter about case assortments, but is that enough to stop Wave 1 gridlock at the big box retailers? Or do the retailers have to change what they’re doing things to really improve?

I went to 5 stores today, I have never seen so many figures–dumped out all over the place. I did get a FO tie pilot, just to get the base for that build a gun thing (don’t ask).

Of interesting note-one store didn’t really have any, the pegs were -meh. it BTW was the only store that ever got wave 3 RO figures.(it’s outside my shopping zone of course) I wonder if they never had this massive back log of figures, and they were able to get new stuff, unlike these other stores. still doesn’t explain where 4 cases worth of TFA figures came from, after all this time.

1. Stop holding back on figures of characters that everybody wants. They need to be released in Wave 1 and Wave 2.

2. Likewise, stop pairing the most desired characters with less desired ones in two packs.

These two look to be the reasons why we’re seeing RO figures, Waves 1 and 2, stuck on the pegs, and why there is a huge backlog of TFA figures.

Please quit trying to manipulate your customers, Hasbro. Regular buyers (for children) and collectors are both annoyed and well aware of what you’ve been doing.

I can’t imagine they would keep basically the same model moving forward after so many figures aren’t making it to standard retail the past couple years… but who knows. They are definitely a slow turning ship though (which THAT is understandable, I get that based on my own line of work in working with big accounts).

I wouldn’t hold my breath. 🙁
