Well it’s not like there’s any way to tell if the same people who complained about the TFA designs being rehashed are the one complaining about the TLJ ones being too original. I for once don’t see what’s “all new” with most of The Last Jedi designs either. The bomber is basically a mix between a Nebulon-B frigate and a B-Wing, Kylo’s TIE keeps the Interceptor’s wings (but at least it manages to look more original than the stupid repainted TIE-Fighters) and the A-Wing seems to be a new model with only minor modifications. About the police speeder, the biggest issue that I have with it is how the design doesn’t make any sense for a police speeder to me. The fact that it lacks other seats makes me assume that it’s a pursuit-only vehicle like the Republic and Imperial era Speeder Bikes, yet speeder backs would be a lot more useful to that purpose because of their compact design.

In reply to Paulskywalker. I hated the design at first but I think that was in large part due to the fact that it's a $30 vehicle. The design is growing on me since it is a pretty big departure and from what we seen before in Star Wars. it almost has a separatist/clone wars feel to it while being fresh and unexpected at the same time. The force awakens was criticized so much for tweaking existing designs and so I like the bold strategy they're taking with this one. i'm guessing the planet is more like Switzerland and not under direct control of the resistance or the first order. I think it's intriguing, hopefully they have more screen time to just a few seconds.
