From what I know, this is the last TBS wave. I was expecting TVC to begin with figures from TLJ. Unfortunately, Hasbro likes to use repacks for inaugural waves. I don’t expect to see any more SA TLJ figures until well into TVC. Plus we’re probably going to have to suffer through a wave from Solo. With that film coming in May, I’m worried about seeing Solo figures in TVC. Especially Han and Lando, portrayed by other actors, on vintage cards.

So these could actually be in Walmart stores on FF? Sorry I keep bugging you and Paul about this. TBS figures are ALWAYS HTF, even repacks. I wa only able to get the ERG wave by going to Walmart on FF at opening. I want these figures more than anything else coming for TLJ, As I suspect many people do. This wave could rival the RO figures in difficulty to obtain. Obviously if I see them for pre-order somewhere I’d get them that way, but I really need a game plan for FF. last year was planned around getting the ERG wave, so I didn’t even go to Midnight Madness at TRU.

I think a lot of people are in the same boat as far as the distribution goes with any local brick and mortar storefronts, and fighting for items online is exhausting. (How do you like that Scarif trooper Jayson lol) Distribution to certain stores is just bad. I have 3 walmarts in my area and one will get a ton of shipments of 3.75″ Black series and the other 2 will get barely anything…Same problem with Marvel Legends…AND clearance items all different prices at each location. I did send a complaint to my local Toys R Us a while back and basically said “For calling yourself Toys R Us, it is pathetic that my local Kmart has more of a toy selection” and within a month they have had a way better selection from hasbro. I hope the 3.75″ line is made available at more stores, but I also hope they don’t carry the $12 price tag.

So are we talking about (possibly) being able to walk into Toys R Us and find 3.75″ Boxed Black Series, or are these going to be sold through online sources like Entertainment Earth?

In response to EE selling Walgreens C-3PO, It’s hard to buy an exclusive item in store, when my local store never got a single figure. Not ONE. They have had the same two Black Series figures on the shelf since just after the TFA line showed up. They certainly purchased enough inventory, yet not every store got them. It’s the same with Walmart. They have a terrible distribution system where one store will get 4 cases of an item, and the three stores surrounding it get none.

Due to the overwhelming amount of peg warmers at my local Walmart, we never got anything past the Jyn wave. No Cassian, no Scarif, Proto Boba or the others.

It’s becoming ridiculous and I think it’s probably not a bad idea moving forward to have Hasbro consider either doing away with exclusives all together, or having them shared with a brick and mortar store AND on online retailer like EE.

I believe it comes down to internal confusion between separate divisions at Hasbro the design team and the sales team. At comic con Steve Evans the design manager for Hasbro stated that those figures will remain exclusive to Walmart until the end of the year. But the week after comic con, solicitations were sent to distributors saying that they can order and sell Walmart exclusives. I think they’re running into the same thing here. Also Walgreens hasn’t been able to sell through their exclusive 6 inch TBS C-3PO so entertainment earth is now selling them.

Surely we’ll need a new Finn and Poe (hopefully not just recycled pilot Poe), hopefully a new(ish) Kylo and would be over the moon for an SA Rose.
