I still have the blue saber from my cousin’s original Jedi Luke. I was lucky enough to get the green saber. To me, that was understandable as a spoiler. Luke was left with a lightsaber in ESB, so just him having a new one was a big part of the story. I think the idea that in TLJ he’s “beyond” needing a lightsaber is ridiculous. The only reason Yoda didn’t have one in ESB was because the technology didn’t exist to have that puppet flipping around swinging a sword. Having him lose his lightsaber in ROTS was a nice way to explain that. I’m hoping the reason we’re getting the TFA outfit Luke first is do the TLJ outfit figure can come out after the movie and have a ! lightsaber.

Could very well be. You are supporting my point that an accessory in a toy is not a spoiler. (Even if it’s a green lightsaber that comes with Old Luke!). 🙂

Old Luke in Galactic Heroes form is going to take some getting used to.

But the BIG question is – what is Rose holding in her hand??? Is it a hologram, or lightsaber crystals, or something else entirely? (For all the spoiler-phobes out there, this is an example of where a toy release with never-before-seen accessory *enhances* the excitement for the upcoming movie instead of spoiling it. It’s fun to have this new thing to speculate about, and we have no idea whether it’s at all relevant to the plot of the movie. Your first viewing of TLJ will not be hurt because you know Rose holds a translucent blue thing at some point. 😉 )
