hasbro knew there would be demand, and im betting plenty of 40th product is still out there. eventually these high prices will come down. recently i purchased a 2nd authentic darth maul for 15.99 , and i remember it going as high as 180 at one time. eventually the hype will die down, high prices will slow sales and product will outweigh demand. it might take months or even years but i believe eventually it will be easy to find all of these 40th figures close to retail. alot of sellers hold onto figs until prices top out, as soon as that happens the market will be flooded and prices will crash.

I don’t expect to ever see a wave 2 figure in stores. These figures on Vintage style cards was a great idea, with horrible planning and distribution. They probably didn’t expect a high demand for them but I think they easily could have sold 3-4 times what they produced. edit: Could have sold more of wave 2, the Luke, Leia and Kenobi’s of wave 1 were somewhat pegwarmers, that could have been fixed if they would have shipped a few less of them and more Han and R2. But what do I know.

i travel all over the u.p. and wisconsin, and looked everywhere along the way. i saw only 1 han and zero r2d2. wave 2 was worse, i saw 1 jawa, 2 deathstar , and 2 damaged c3po. ive managed to buy everything except chewy and a storm, but not in stores. i cant help but think somewhere a scalper is sitting in his moms basement full of 40th figures

I have seen 1 Leia, 2 Luke and 1 Obi-Wan, that is it for the 40th Ann. figures. Except a TON of the Vader at 1 Walmart.

no, im in the u.p. of michigan. i try to buy every figure but its just too hard to do here. never finding 40th wave 2 almost made me quit the hobby and find a new one up here but im not into ice fishing, hunting, or cow tipping so ill give hasbro one last try

Yep. The one store we went to told us the toys don’t come out till the movie does, and the other said the morning crew were setting up the display at 7 or 8.

Which means probably even less are doing the Midnight event. If they don’t put them out early I bet I can go to any Walmart near me at Midnight and they would have no idea what I am talking about.
