Also worth consideration is that, eighteen years ago (1999), the then-new CommTech device (alone in the package) ran $20. Everything being equal, the set with figure for $25 stands-up versus inflation. Kudos to those that might have made this analogy.

Exactly. I want the device, but I don’t want to wait until December 29th to get it. But I definitely want those two figures. Maybe if I find the SA Walmart versions I’ll just get the Kylo starter set. There’s a cereal coupon for $10 off that set. The cereal probably costs $5, but it’s still a good deal. I hear the device works well with ships and the Probe Droid.

The starter set us $25 everywhere I’ve seen it. At $8 a figure that puts the device at $17, where as in this set it would be about $19. Not that bad, imo. Especially since these two figures are much more interesting than another Kylo.

Exactly. And Im counting on it being on clearance. I have some plans for the electronics.

Its a better deal than the Kylo set w/ ForceLink, because you get an extra figure for $5, but that’s just showing what a rip-off the Kylo set is to start with. That’s way overpriced, and it’ll likely pegwarm far worse than an exclusive. I expect to see the Kylo set for 75% off after the holidays.

I think people are discounting the fact that when Kids play, they sometimes play with friends. Having multiple Force Link devices is a smart move on Hasbro’s part.

I got the ‘force link’ with the BB8 set, it is kinda neat.
