Yeah, it’s incredibly disappointing they just did a straight repack of a very mediocre figure (ugh, that head sculpt) with NOTHING new to it at all. Seriously, why did they even bother?

A lot of times I wonder if Hasbro would rather not make 3.75″ figures. (They seem to be heading that way with Marvel.) They seem to only make them begrudgingly out of tradition and obligation after buying out Kenner decades ago. They still issue them in order to not lose the entire Star Wars license.

Here’s my suggestion to Disney/Lucasfilm: for Episode IX and the third Star Wars Story movie, maybe they should suggest to Hasbro that they don’t need to make any 3.75″ figures at all. They can still make 6″, role play, and other things.

Instead, Disney/Lucasfilm licenses the 3.75″ line to another company, or two or more companies. Like, you have one company that focuses on making 3.75″ figures — maybe the company that’s been making the droids for the Disney Parks stores. And maybe Funko could be granted license to make retro-style figures for collectors under their ReAction line. And a third company could focus on making vehicles that are compatible with the 3.75″ figures.

For Hasbro, this feels like a relationship that they’re just not that into. So Disney/Lucasfilm should break up with them and start seeing other people. lol.

JJ should put Zuvio into the final cut of Episode IX. That could help clear these peg warmers finally.
