Exactly! I got burned in 2015, when I preordered it at full price so I could get the Jakku DLC early. I was so excited to get more info on Jakku and hopefully learn about what happened during the battle. Only to find out that not only was there no story aspect whatsoever, that it was only available to play online! I wasn’t going to get burned this time.

I’m willing to buy it, just not for full price. Didn’t by the 2015 version at full price either. It’s worth the wait to save money and allow EA to fix the glaring issues. But yeah, the progression system will never get better, because it was built to maximize microtransactions. It will blatantly favor those who have lots of time on their hands.

Game is fantastic. But the fun is quickly spoiled when the enemy has the level 3 cards and heroes and you don’t. You just have to be good with a blaster.

The progression issues aren’t going change btw, I don’t think you heard the QnAs or twitter posts. They’re standing their ground. If anything it may come a little bit lighter to achieve but will still be a major gap between that and paying for packs.

I think Halo 5: Guardians did a great job with the free dlc but at a price. They charged only for the req packs which didn’t include any overpowered cards, just things you would get as you progress per game anyway. People only spent 2 hours to get a piece of customization or $10. Which was fairly balanced considering it’s only customization. Skins. Which you can earn all by putting 400 hours into the game.
