I found tarkin at target during the friday morning of Force Friday. There were multiples in the shipper boxes. Also saw him at a walmart a few times. Regardless, with movie launch force friday waves, I always buy a case since the cases are usually packed with mostly new figures (like this upcoming han solo wave)… so that’s the way to go with these. In fact, sometimes it’s good to wait a month or two after. I know that some of these retailers discounted the cases by 30% off around Black Friday.

But he’s also a popular character. He won’t be shelf warming anything. Infact you’d probably have scalpers buying off managers for early access.

I hope you’re right, but look at the recent past with characters like Jyn and Cassian, Finn and even the first 6″ Han Solo. Their figures were overproduced and clogged the pegs for years.

Personally, I’m still having trouble getting excited for not-Harrison Ford and not-Billy Dee Williams Han and Lando figures.

Tarkin may just be the one figure over which I’d be willing to get into a fistfight at the walmart.
