My thoughts on the line:

-The paint apps on the dolls I saw were always just a bit off (Eyes not symmetrically aligned, paint smears, one eye perfect, one eye in a completely wrong spot, too much lip paint, etc) so it took me a long time to find ones that I wanted to buy.

– The ‘squeeze the leg and her arms move’ gimmick was lame and not very good. Their arms do weird clicky sounds, you can’t put their legs together naturally, etc.

-I found it weird that they didn’t put these in BOTH “boys” and “girls” sections. My TRU Star Wars section is largely black and red, which is an aggressive color scheme. Although the Forces of Destiny colors are bright and welcoming, they’re still surrounded by a that very aggressive color scheme. Why not have a Star Wars section in the girls aisle too? Maybe other stores do it different?

– These aren’t in my local Disney Store, I don’t know if they are in other Disney stores, but they aren’t in mine. There is a Star Wars section that sells Hasbro items, but Forces of Destiny is NOWHERE to be found in that store. Seems weird to have a huge wall of Disney Princesses and then not add these near them.

I do hope the line continues. It feels so nice to have these characters (or versions of characters) available as in retrospect I didn’t realize how starved I was to see them. It’s refreshing to have them all be similar, as opposed to BS where of the THREE Leia’s made they were all so disappointingly different (or in the case of Padme, completely absent).

I questioned the figures dark skin tone when I first saw it as well. That doesn’t mean I expected it to look Caucasian, the character in Rebels certainly does not. What I expected is it to look a bit more like what we see in Rebels. That is interesting to hear about the actress who voices Sabine. So why isn’t Sabine in Rebels darker? I haven’t seen Forces of Destiny, but a quick image search shows her to be far lighter than even the Rebels representation.

I kinda feel the same way about Rogue Ones MCs. But its odd because Boba Fett dies too as well as Maul and Qui-gon and they sell great.

I think they needed a more diverse lineup (and removable outfits). Ahsoka should have been available from the start, maybe Barriss Offee, etc. Some aliens and less Disney Wars centric.

Also no reason to be $20. Should have been $15.

Jyn was/is going to be a tough sell regardless, just due to her dying in the movie, and kids not being interested in that/the weirdness of it ( a character dying ) True story-about a year ago now I was in a target, just about to leave the SW section, when in walked a dad and daughter ( about 9-11 ) and she was checking out the RO figures, and the dad told her that she doesn’t want any of those cause they all die in the movie. I shot that guy a glaring look, and he averted his eyes, then quickly left. I really wanted to lecture the guy on the lesson he was teaching his daughter.

You can always leave the helmet on 😉 but yeah, I don’t know either. I can ‘respect’ what they were trying to do, but they kinda missed the mark, maybe the new Sabine will look different.

They might have gotten the skin tone close but as the facial features…ugh.

These are new fashion diva dolls, not the short-packed ones on cards mixed with the male wrestlers.

I’ve only seen them at Toys R Us but the packaging doesn’t have any “ONLY AT TRU” stickers.

Imagine putting Rey in Anna’s outfit, or Elsa in Black Widows outfit?

Like the 3.75 5POA line, it seems Disney/Hasbro forgets what makes this stuff fun…PLAYABILITY

And, you know, actual clothes on these instead of mostly plastic.

Not surprised Jyn is pegwarming in yet another line.
