Thank you so much!. I love that plsyset and i took care of it sice i got it new in box fir my 8th birthday. All original. I know some may say its a sacrilege to mix tbe diffetent era figures. But why not spruce it up a bit?? I wish i had the spsce to set up my falcon and so many other little original things to enhance tje death star scean. All 78 snd 79 toys. Shiw rhese newbies what toys are lol. You so rigjt aboit ths wated space BB-8 set. i csnt even gind a wood in tne hardware stores wide enough to make a self. 1×12 is tbe biggest. so itvsits in mu floor with a pile if un opened figures justvwaiting to go on the giant stand lol. we need to talk more

’78 and STILL superior to what is made today–this makes the BB-88 playset look like clunky junk, by comparison. I would love to have them reissue this Death Star, but double the width, add some electronic features (clang sound, Darth Star laser, tractor beam, imperial commands), and in the new second half of it build three floors–the communication room; the imperial meeting room; the space where Obi and Darth fought; and a two/split level Emperor’s throne room. With that, we would have ourselves a playset that people would gobble up–kids and adult collectors. There was so much more elegance in this 1978 playset than the more clunky and junky stuff built today (including that BB-88 monstrosity–which was really nothing more than an expensive stand to display figures, in my humble opinion). Oh I agree with you on all points. My ‘concern’ is expiations, where there are some really great ideas listed already, that some will ‘glum’ on to “this is how it will be”, and the reality is not–then its all down hill.
