Like the PPW Toys does with the Star Wars PopTaters. They are “Mr. Potato Head, but are not Hasbro, only licensed.

I figured they could be removed from the base, just think it’s odd they put the extra money into making a clear plastic hard case for them.
Especially since, for me, a major appeal of the first Muggs line (which I have all of) was the awesome box art. Simple, uniform, not busy, but excellent art. The hard plastic dome they come in now must have added to the cost. Don’t think they have a chance of thriving against Funko Pop. And since they really don’t fit in with the old line (size, or style) I won’t be getting any.

I’ve wondered if toys like these exist because they are designed and produced by another company, and Hasbro invests the money and sub-licenses the Star Wars branding to them.
