Dang, I am super jealous. I have but one for my Endor display. I am looking around eBay for more but $25-30 for one is a weeeeeee steep for me haha. I hope they redo him and make a Nik Sant type figure with the vest.

I was working in Manhattan at the time and I specifically remember one day I had to rent a car to get to some meetings in northern NJ, and on the way back to the City I stopped at four or five Toys R Us and Walmart stores and found Rebel Commandos on deep clearance at each of them. I ended up buying 6 like that, I think. 🙂

Well, marvel legends does do in-between waves of background characters, all with a new build a figure each wave…
I’m fine with main characters for a first wave, that makes sense. Then do background ones on the inbetween waves and go from there. Since Star Wars are always new sculpts, and repacks are a certainty, I think almost ALWAYS repacking trooper variants is the best way to go.

also… I remember a brief time where those TVC Rebel Commandos were pegwarming everywhere along with Klaatu, and could be had for like $3 each. Funny how even the relative dregs of TVC are so coveted today.

You speak of a single wave of all-new 6″ Marvel Legends figures for each MCU movie as a good thing, but I think we Star Wars collectors have grown to love getting the backgrounders and “B” characters so much, that a single wave of figures (even all all-new figures) would feel very insufficient.

For the Solo movie, that wave might look like: Han Outfit 1, Han Outfit 2, Chewie, Lando, Qi’Ra, Beckett, a new Stormtrooper, and the main bad guy. I can already picture collectors protesting, “that’s it???”
