Bring on the Barge Fan Site Petition
Bring on the Barge! We have partnered with several other fan sites to solicit support for a 3-3/4″ scale Jabba’s Sail Barge Vehicle/Playset. Hasbro has shown interest in building such a vehicle but we need to let them know WE WANT IT by gathering as many signatures as possible and presenting them to the Star Wars brand team at Toy Fair. Head on over to show your support by signing the petition and we thank all of our colleagues for working together in this collaborative effort.
Update: Disregard the prompt to donate after signing the petition, donation is not required for it to count in the tally.

Vintage Millennium Falcon Hits TRU Stores
Our friends at Galactic Hunter have posted via Facebook that the exclusive Vintage Millennium Falcon is currently hitting store shelves as evidenced by the above photo taken in Chandler, AZ. Just a reminder, there is NOTHING new for this vehicle – the deco and the included figures (Han and Chewie) are the same as the prior release. But, if you’re a packaging variant collector or just a TVC collector this is for you.
Remember, ask a store associate to help you get high items off the shelf and have them help you lift your wallet while they’re at it as this will set you back an extra $100 from 2008.
Toyguide Update: 1:6 Scale STAP and Battle Droid
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the 1:6 Scale STAP and Battle Droid from Sideshow Collectibles.
PROS: Sideshow’s designers have captured one most iconic vehicles in the prequels to an exacting detail. The STAP itself features adjustable turret/yoke, handlebars and foot pegs to allow the included Battle Droid to achieve various in-flight poses. The sturdy display base also features an adjustable center section to allow you to tilt the STAP and Battle Droid for additional dynamic poses. The included battle droid is a redeco of their first release and molded in a slightly different color. He features plethora of articulation and is, in essence, a mini-maquette of the Battle Droid CGI model. On my particular sample, the included backpack attaches the to the droid much better as the first Infantry Battle Droids’ packs tended to fall off rather easily. The droid affixes to the STAP by way of magnets built into the feet and foot controls – an ingenious idea – and the multi-joint hands allow him to grasp the controls firmly.
CONS: Cost and displaying a piece of this size may be an issue for some and sadly the included blaster rifle still does not attach to the droids backpack.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this piece worth adding to your collection.
