Collector Kyle B. writes in with an update regarding the non-functional Wampa and Luke set from the Force Link 2.0 line. Per a conversation with Hasbro’s customer help department, this issue will be addressed in the next update, remedying the annoying “Firmware Update Required” utterance the Wampa current triggers.

Hasbro’s official app page has some info regarding the availability of the Hasbro Force Link app.

Sound FX for Force Link 1.0 toys and Force Link 2.0 Han Solo figure (included with your Force Link 2.0 Starter Set) are available now through the existing app.

The app update that will give you all other Force Link 2.0 Sound FX will be available *on or before May 1.

Discovered through recent filings with the FCC, there appears to be an R2-D2 and a BB-9E app-enabled droid coming from Sphero for The Last Jedi.

We’ve received a report from Daniel B. in Australia stating that the latest update to the Hasbro’s Star Wars Studio FX app has disabled the wireless functionality of his AT-ACT. Click on through to read his account and if anyone else has this issue, let us know.

Update:  A new update was just issued today (March 16). Those with disabled app may want to give it a shot.

Hi guys

It appears the latest update on the 5th of March to the Star Wars Studio FX App has rendered the CONTROL! Function unusable i.e. you cannot control the AT-ACT remotely anymore. While the app still recognises the Walker, clicking on CONNECT results in a make sure your walker is nearby and turned on message every time, at least here in Australia. I have tried various devices, reinstalls etc. to overcome this with no success. My friend Leo F. has confirmed his AT-ACT has the exact same symptoms.

I have emailed Hasbro Australia to see what the deal is, was curious if this is also the case for you guys.

Mashable.com has posted a first look article showcasing the features of the  upcoming Star Wars StudioFX app launching on Sept. 30 with the role out of new Rogue One products.

The free app will be available for for iOS and Android.

Looks like Hasbro is tapping into the app market for their Star Wars products for 2016. The image above is captured from the Hera’s A-wing packaging and it looks to be present on all products set for release this fall. No word yet on the features of the app but surely we’ll learn about that at SDCC.
