The team at First Order Transmissions is having a raffle to raise funds in an effort to assist those affected by the devastation in Puerto Rico and Mexico City. On October 27, all of those that have donated as little as $10 will be eligible to win one of dozens of prizes offered up from our personal collections as well as donated by followers of our show. The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society, in conjunction with PSWCS.org, will be holding their annual toy drive to benefit Garrison Carida of the 501^st Legion.  This year’s drive will be held at Toy & Comic Heaven (1841 Norristown Rd, Maple Glen, PA 19002) on Sunday, November 22^nd starting at 11:00 am.

Garrison Carida serves Pennsylvania, Delaware and West Virginia by participating in charity and non-profit events with a focus on children, including visits to hospitals. During these events the donated toys will be handed out, free of charge, to children in attendance. The Official Star Wars Blog updates with an interesting article announcing a collaborative effort between Lucasfilm and Italian advertising agency H-57 Creative Station to produce and sell limited edition posters showcasing Star Wars characters created with typography.
