Hasbro will be revisiting the mash-up concept in 2025 with Star Wars MixMashers. As you may recall, they previously had a line called Hero Mashers which are essentially the same as these new figures. Parts can be mixed and matched across various figures and lines (Marvel and Transformers). Here is the descriptive copy to explain it further:

Mix and mash characters from across the galaxy to create unique and customized figures! Collectible MixMashers Star Wars figures feature parts and pieces that pull apart and mash together to create uniquely customized figures. With 16 connection points, 5-inch-scale (12 cm) MixMashers Star Wars action figures feature universal connectors for compatibility and durability across the entire line. So far there are 6 characters to collect (2 deluxe, 4 basic) which include:

Things aren’t always as dark as they seem when it comes to store reports. It often depends on where you live or how fast your store shifts/turns over merchandise. So, you can have a very disparate experience than other collectors across the nation. Here is one of my Target stores (Plymouth, MN) on any typical day.

You may say “but look at all that ‘crap’.”  My response to that is: just because there is “stuff” you don’t want to buy, doesn’t mean there isn’t stuff to buy.

Forbes has posted an exclusive story revealing the Star Wars Hero Mashers line (along with several other properties).

Hasbro saw enough success with their IP-connected Hero Masher lines that they’ll be introducing toys from this year’s hottest films and franchises, adding Jurassic World and Star Wars: Rebels to the Hero Mashers universe as well as expanding the Marvel Heroes with Mashers from Disney’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
