Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, itty bittys® and gifts among items planned at seven events

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 30, 2017) — PopMinded by Hallmark plans its highest-ever level of yearly participation at the nation’s largest pop culture fan gatherings with limited quantities of products and collectibles developed exclusively for events starting next month.

PopMinded, which debuted nationally last year, is Hallmark’s new way to celebrate fandom with gifts and collectibles created and chosen with all fans in mind. PopMinded continues and expands on Hallmark’s decade-long tradition of providing event attendees access to Hallmark’s ever popular event exclusive products through its event pop-up store.

The following items will be sold in limited quantities at Comic-Con International, to be held July 20-23 in San Diego, Calif.:

• T-70 X-Wing Fighter™, a Keepsake Ornament of Poe Dameron’s starfighter as depicted in the beginning of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. This repaint of a 2016 Keepsake Ornament includes sound between Poe & BB-8 before the starfighter was destroyed on Jakku and has a total production run of 3,275 and sales will be limited to 275 per day.
• A Walrus Man™ itty bittys plush adds to the Mos Eisley Cantina crowd with a the throw-back again to the original action figures and packaging. This has a total production run of 4,000 and sales will be limited to 300 per day.
• The Imperial R2-Q5™ droid becomes part of the astromech droid-themed perpetual calendar and features an additional set of date cubes in aurebesh, the famed language used throughout the Star Wars galaxy. The calendar has a total production run of 1,600, and 170 of them will be offered for sale each day.

Also in July, Hallmark Gold Crown Stores will host a PopMinded display and event complete with exclusives and a sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip to New York Comic Con this October. Fans can visit participating Hallmark Gold Crown stores from July-August:

• Imperial Stormtrooper™ Keepsake Ornament blind box offers three different repainted versions of the Stormtrooper helmet from the 2016 Keepsake Ornament line, offered in metallic black, red or silver. Includes sound from Star Wars: A New Hope. 
• Greedo™ itty bittys plush is the final addition to the Mos Eisley Cantina crew, dawning the throw-back to the original action figures and packaging. A limited number of these will also be made available at Comic-Con International in San Diego, New York Comic Con and Hallmark.com
• Greedo™ itty bittys Christmas ornament is based on the movie-version of one of the most famous bounty hunters in the galaxy. A limited number of these will also be made available on Hallmark.com.
• R2-BHD™ The silver-clad droid that helped the Resistance in Star Wars: Rogue One is a variant version of the astromech droid-themed perpetual calendar from the Star Wars line of gifts. A limited number of these will also be made available on Hallmark.com.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 4, 2015) — As excitement builds for the Dec. 18 release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Hallmark announces new products coming to Hallmark retailers and Hallmark.com featuring heroes and villains from the new film.

Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments, itty bittys® plush characters and Cubeez stacking boxes, as well as greeting cards, gift wrap and gifts inspired by the latest additions to the Star Wars saga will become available beginning next month, expanding Hallmark’s lines of Star Warsproducts already popular with fans of all ages.

“It’s an exciting time with Star Wars fans preparing to see their new and classic characters back on the big screen,” says Christine Taylor of Hallmark Licensing. “We’ve created a great line-up of products to extend and complement the movie-going experience for longtime fans as well as new ones, and we can’t wait to share them.”

The Force Awakens slate from Hallmark kicks off Oct. 3 when the Kylo Ren branded ornament joins the ranks of other Star Wars Keepsake Ornaments on Keepsake Ornament Debut weekend. The chrome-armored Captain Phasma ornament will become available as a Keepsake Ornament in time for Hallmark’s Holiday Open House event starting Nov. 6.

The Kylo Ren and Rey itty bittys plush characters will be available at the end of November. A special edition version of one of these characters will be available in December.

Cubeez, Hallmark’s character-based metal boxes to fill, stack and collect, will appear in Hallmark Gold Crown® stores as a four-piece collector set bearing likenesses of round Droid BB-8, as well as the characters Rey, Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma. Other new gift items inspired by the movie include mugs and drink coasters.

Greeting cards for all occasions will feature characters and spacecraft from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and will be available for sending this fall.

Additional Christmas ornaments, including decorative ball sets and sculpted figures of new Star Wars characters, will be available this fall at participating Hallmark retailers nationwide.

We haven’t even started the first day of Celebration yet and we already have announcements for upcoming exclusives for SDCC. This Keepsake Ornament two-pack created especially for Comic-Con event sales features droids that first appeared in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. The humanoid protocol droid U-3PO served aboard Princess Leia’s consular ship while the astromech droid R5-D4 was offered for sale by Jawa traders to moisture farmer Owen Lars on Tatooine.

An Epic Vision is the name of the Keepsake Ornament two-pack that features Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader locked in a heated lightsaber duel as inspired by the styling of famed artist Ralph McQuarrie in preproduction art forStar Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Nearly 40 years since their creation, McQuarrie’s original visions for the Star Wars galaxy of characters, craft and planets continues to inspire and delight fans. An Epic Vision has a total production run of 2,000 and sales will be limited to 500 per day ($40 per set).

Bossk and Dengar join Hallmark’s itty bittys line with a Celebration-exclusive two-pack of the fearsome bounty hunters seen in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. More than a dozen heroes, villains and creatures of Star Wars are now among the iconic characters of film, comics and television to appear as sweetly and uniquely styled plush itty bittys exclusively in Hallmark Gold Crown® stores and online at Hallmark.com. This bounty hunter two-pack has a total production run of 2,200 and sales will be limited to 550 per day ($20 per set).

Limited quantity buttons featuring a sneak peek of the newest Star Wars itty bittys collectors set will also be given out at the Hallmark booth (#1434). There are four designs – one for each day of the convention – that will be given away daily in limited quantities of 1,000 of each design.
