Yesterday Hasbro announced another repaint of the X-wing Fighter mold for the Vintage Collection, this time with a retro Kenner-inspired deco. The nostaglia spills over onto the carded Luke Skywalker X-wing Pilot figure (VC420) and the R2-D2. Preorder opens on exclusively (for now) on Hasbro Pulse August 20 at 1pm ET for $139.99.

The STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION X-Wing Fighter and Luke Skywalker set includes a vehicle and 2 action figures inspired by the originals. This Rebel Alliance starfighter balances speed with firepower, making long-range jumps with its hyperdrive and its astromech droid co-pilot. Calling back to the original 1970s and 1980s vintage Kenner toys, the X-wing Fighter features Kenner-inspired detailing, such as new deco on the starfighter and additions to the cockpit. Reimagine adventures in hyperdrive on your shelf with this articulated Luke Skywalker figure wearing pilot gear with Kenner deco, and his retro-inspired co-pilot R2-D2. Comes with removable helmet and blaster for Luke Skywalker figure, plus pieces to complete ship assembly. The X-wing Fighter comes in a closed box package with Kenner branding. Luke Skywalker (X-wing): Kenner Colors figure is on a retro-inspired cardback with VC number. @5017set is back with more 2027 rumors – this time for the Vintage Collection. It’s not too big a leap that we’d see some reissues of main characters like Vader and Stormtroopers for the 50th anniversary of the franchise, but we may also see a release of “the man” himself to fill a special spot in our collections. (And there’s also Space Gosling from Starfighter).

Walmart has opened preorders for their exclusive Vintage Collection Anakin Skywalker (VC412) and Commander Cody (VC413) 2pk from Revenge of the Sith.

UPDATE: price has been corrected and is now $39.97

Based off of the link I have, and had confirmed in store, the pricing is the same as the Obi-Wan/Airborne set at $39.97. Crisis averted. Pitch forks back to the woodshed.

The team at SWTVC partnered with the Hasbro Star Wears Brand team today to reveal the upcoming Walmart Exclusive Vintage Collection Anakin Skywalker & Commander Cody (Utapau) 2pk. Preorders open June 11 at 10am ET ($49.99) and are expected to ship this summer.
