Searching around today I managed to find what maybe the first look at the solicitation imagery from CinemaSceneMarketing for theater concessions marketing for The Rise of Skywalker. It appear that the newest poster is prevalent across tubs, drink holders, as well a character cups.

Swung into my local Denny’s this morning to check out their new menu and managed to score the full set of 12 Exclusive Topps Trading Cards for Solo: A Star Wars Story. Click on through to check out a few images including the two puzzles they form when you get all 12.

I was invited to attend Denny’s exclusive marketing campaign reveal for Solo: A Star Wars Story at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. and while I couldn’t attend in person (due to the holiday weekend), we do have someone covering the event for us. Look for the official campaign to kick off tomorrow and watch for more details soon.

Since finding the code name “Nemesis” for a character in Solo: A Star Wars Story a few months back, I’ve been trying to find more about the character apart from the official dribs and drabs let out by Disney and Lucasfilm. Today, I think I have definitive proof….

First off, the search started based on a tip regarding a toy coming out soon which references a variation on a name that I originally heard from at MakingStarWars.net last May: Emlys Nest.

Many thought at the time, as I did, that this was probably some seedy lair or location that we’d see our heroes fight their way in/out of at some point during Solo: A Star Wars Story. But based on the name I was given, I deduced that “Emlys Nest” was actually Enfys Nest. Still I wasn’t sure of the name’s accuracy until I found this graphic:

Again, nothing definitive but I knew I was getting warmer. Further digging via Google turned up two more graphics from the same source:

As you can see, those two strongly suggest a character more than a group or faction. So, I kept digging and found some packaging concepts and materials for a theater concessions company REDACTED and there was my confirmation on page 2 in the form of a character bottle topper:

Enfys Nest is in fact the tribal looking warrior we’ve seen in the trailer as well as leaked toy photos.

Solo: A Star Wars Story opens May 25, 2018.

During Hasbro’s 2017 earnings conference call this morning, CEO Brian Goldner stated that, in the future, product launches (i.e. events like Force Friday) for Star Wars entertainment will be timed closer to the entertainment’s release and not have months of lead in as happened with The Force Awakens, Rogue One and The Last Jedi and more in the vein of how it’s being handled for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Advanced Graphics is now offering their full range of cardboard stand ups from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Choose from Kylo Ren, Rey, Poe Dameron, BB-8, Captain Phasma and more.

Corey from The Wolfpack Podcast sends along this image from a Facebook group showing new aisle shippers hitting the floors at Walmart. Based on the merchandising planogram I’ve seen, these feature the same design that will be in the aisle and overhead awnings of Walmart for Force Friday and beyond.

Walmart is starting to prep for the arrival of Star Wars Rebels product with new signage in their toy aisle. Hopefully, actual Rebels action figures will arrive soon to fill it out.
