@5017set is back with more 2027 rumors – this time for the Vintage Collection. It’s not too big a leap that we’d see some reissues of main characters like Vader and Stormtroopers for the 50th anniversary of the franchise, but we may also see a release of “the man” himself to fill a special spot in our collections. (And there’s also Space Gosling from Starfighter).

About a year and a half ago, I posted this editorial with some of my wishes and suggestions for The Black Series. A half dozen have been Released since then, and of those Choices, 3 more are about to join the Pack. Take a peek at the article and try to guess which ones they are or share who you’d want from those suggestions.

Some interesting Black Series rumors have surfaced according to @5017set on X. According to him we may be getting Spider-Legs Maul, Agen Kolar, Captain Vaughn, Tessek, Commander Cody (Imperial) and R4-P17 (Obi-Wan’s Astromech). There’s also word of at least 4 figures from the next film, Star Wars Starfighter. It will be interesting to see how and when this plays out.

UPDATE: a few more names were dropped including the Galactic Marine, Anakin Skywalker (AOTC), Queen Amidala (TPM) and Savage Opress (Battle Damaged?).

Recent shipping info shows that there is an as-of-yet unannounced Black Series 2pk arriving in the U.S., and if my info is correct, this set contains two characters from the Legends/EU era. With it now arriving, I’d think an announcement is right around the corner.

Some digging around recently has turned up evidence for a possible Black Series Clone Trooper “build up pack” from The Clone Wars. The set (“Chimera”) is said to include a clone trooper with multiple heads (3), helmets (4), pauldrons (3) to create various trooper combinations. Figure also includes a blaster and hologram accessory. No clear price yet but probably in the $50 range. If I were to compare it to something on the market today, it sounds comparable to the Legacy Collection subline from the G.I.Joe Classified Series.

No word yet as to when it will be officially announced or how/where it will be offered.

A bit of poking around the last couple days has yielded a few 2027 code names/product listings seeming to indicate the return of the large format, carded Black Series figures for the 50th Anniversary of Star Wars. A bit too early to tell who they are exactly but if previous anniversary releases are any indication, there will surely be some reissues with some newness shuffled in (hopefully).

Recent shipping info shows that a mystery Black Series code name from our Master List has started to arrive in the U.S.. Based on the price of about $55, “Athena” could be another two pack of figures or one larger/fatter item. It is likely a Walmart exclusive in the U.S. We will update with additional info when available.

Based upon some additional digging, I think I’ve been able to ascertain that there will not only be two Black Series waves dedicated to The Mandalorian and Grogu but BOTH waves will feature First Edition (white box) packaging. Although the mainline figures included in wave 2 are unknown, I believe that Zeb Orrelios (Deluxe), Imperial Remnant Snowtrooper and Embo will be part of it and have First Edition counterparts exclusive to Target and Walmart in the U.S. The other two figures in the wave are still anyone’s guess.

Until then, we will continue researching and speculating. This is the way.

Based on previously leaked parts (bottom images) for TBS Ronin and R5-D56, there will be different versions of the figures released outside of the Celebration Japan set 2pk. Exclusive versions are more monochromatic and the Ronin has soft goods, while the “standard” version features plastic robes and R5 has a brown Kasa hat.

There has been an influx of Black Series part leaks in recent weeks and today is no exception as parts for what appears to be a rumored/unannounced Jedi Temple Guard from The Clone Wars have surfaced.

And to answer the inevitable (and legitimate) follow up question: YES
