Frank from Niub Niub’s Universe has undertaken to build a room size Death Star Diorama at Celebration 3, however he needs your help to populate the diorama and reward the fans who work to bring it into existance. Because the “official channels” haven’t been able to help with the Dreath Star’s Crew, security, etc, he’s turning to the fans, seeking your support to help and show the big guys what FANS really mean for each other.<\/p>\n

His plan is to have fans send a spare figure or two that was in a Death Star scene that they can give away at the show in April. At the same time to make the fans happy, it will help populate the Diorama.<\/p>\n

StarWars.com announces Full Trailer Details<\/b><\/span>

Thursday, March 10th at 9 p.m., FOX will air the Episode III trailer during the “The O.C.”, then the trailer will debut online for members of starwars.com Hyperspace after the broadcast (around 9:00 p.m. Pacific time). Subscribers to AOL will be able to see the trailer at this time as well.<\/p>\n

The Episode III trailer will debut on the big screen, March 11th, with Robots featuring the voice of Star Wars’ own Ewan McGregor.<\/p>\n

April 2 Midnight Madness @ TRU?<\/b><\/span>

There’s been some question as to whether or not Toys R Us stores are going to participate in the usual “Midnight Madness” for Episode III in the same way they have for Episodes I and II.<\/p>\n

Well, I just got off the phone with the manager of my local TRU and the answer is a resounding “probably”. While she was reluctant to give any specifics yet, she did say that the possiblilty of running another Ep III Midnight Madness was brought up at their last regional managers meeting a week ago, so it’s definitely being discussed.<\/p>\n

She did say however that ROTS would have a HUGE presence at TRU come 4\/2, which comes as no surprise.<\/p>\n

Hello Yak fans! My name is Scott C. and I have been invited to join Team Yakface as a regular contributor to the site. I just thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself before I get down to business.<\/p>\n

I am a lifelong Star Wars fan, having seen A New Hope for the first time (on August 16th 1977) at the age of 6. Star Wars not only opened my eyes to the worlds of Science Fiction and Fantasy, but to the world of film in general, and I have been a hardcore film geek ever since. I’m sure my story isn’t at all unique to most of you, but it just goes to show how the saga has influenced most of us.<\/p>\n

My major collecting focus is Hasbro’s line of figures and vehicles and I am also a hardcore Master Replicas junkie with twelve replicas in my collection and counting.<\/p>\n

My beautiful wife Lori and I just recently brought our 1st child Connor into the world on 11\/18\/04, and I’m looking forward to sharing my love of toys and movies with him.<\/p>\n

But McGregor – who plays Obi Wan Kenobe – is far happier with the final movie, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, which premieres in May. McGregor says, “The fighting in Episode II was unsatisfactory, I think. I don’t think the fight was nearly as good as it should have been and I certainly didn’t have as big a crack of the whip as in the first one. I made up for it in number three. Bounty Hunting Today: Vintage Italian Vader MOC<\/b><\/span>

While I am resisting the temptation of the Dark Side and remaining spoiler-free, I have still caught glimpses of some Toy Fair items with the prominent theme of the Dark Lord himself, Darth Vader. Among the first licensed items were those bearing Vader’s helmet on T-Shirts and buttons, and it seems we have truly come full circle with the immenent arrival of Episode III in a matter of months.<\/p>\n

Today’s Bounty Hunting feature brings us back to those early days with a vintage carded Darth Vader action figure. However, this is not simply your regular run-of-the-mill Kenner version, but a difficult to find Italian version. Released by Kenner’s Italian affliate, Harbert, this is a fully licensed figure with the Italian name of Lord Darth Fener. As we know, our beloved characters often have different names than we are accustomed to and this Vader is no exception. Vintage foreign carded figures are often in poor condition, but today’s example has been taken care of well.<\/p>\n

Was in My local WalMart Today and saw Star Wars Easter eggs They are yellow plastic eggs with the Episode 3 graphics on a shrink wrap seal around the front…… the contents inside is a sheet of 60+ stickers that include 4 large Vader\/ lava red background – 4 final duel large stickers – ARC 170 stickers, Greivous , Yoda, Anakin and diffrernt slogan stickers “justice”, “jedi”, “Star Wars”. These are $1.76 each. If you are a collector that has to have one of everything this certainly won’t break the bank. Look for these in the Easter section with the little novelty toys and such.<\/span><\/p>\n

I myself ate quite a bit of Boo-Berry and Franken-Berry back in the day, and when the mood hits me I still can eat quite a bit of that sugary goodness in a bowl for breakfast. Today’s Bounty Hunting spotlight turns to vintage cereal boxes, with one of the most popular varities in a (dare I say it?) Rare (gasp!) Prototype\/Mock-up form.<\/p>\n

Like most everyone else, I have seen the photos of the up and coming cereal boxes promoting Revenge of the Sith, which made me think of where it all started in terms of vintage Star Wars cereal tie-ins. Little did I know that I would run across a Prototype\/Mock-up version of a Boo-Berry box previously owned by a former General Mills employee. The box is flat and has been hand-folded and drawn on for design approval. Though this is not a Kenner figure or playset or vehicle Prototype, it is nonetheless an interesting item from the early days of Star Wars licenses.<\/p>\n

I warned you all that I had Sith fever, for that matter I really have some Clone Wars fever that can only be cured when the new episodes of the cartoon series resume this Spring! Yes, you guessed it, today’s featured auction does have to do with Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars, but with all my Bounty Hunting you can rest easy, it’s spoiler-free!<\/p>\n

As many of you know I really enjoy custom made figures of all sizes, whether it may be an improvement over an existing Hasbro design or something totally unique which has yet to be produced. Today’s auction is for a nicely improved General Grievous. While some may think this is just a simple custom, I find it to be well-executed and quite accurate. For those who open their figures and actually play with them, I too have noticed that the Preview Grievous has a difficult time standing and simply could not pull off the 3 Lightsaber pose as seen in Episode 20 of the Clone Wars cartoon series. This is the chief reason why this custom is so effective at getting my attention, along with the fact that it can be played with too!<\/p>\n
