Watch those wallets! Target has apparently taken aim at the already inflated pricing of the 2 upcoming Ultimate Battle Packs and has raised them from $62.99 to a whopping\u00a0$69.99<\/b>. A local collector friend reported this morning that they increased the price at 2 of his area stores, so to confirm this I just ran to my local Target and much to my dismay the DPCI scanner revealed the $69.99 pricepoint.<\/p>\n

This must have just happened overnight as the same store had the $62.99 cost yesterday.<\/p>\n

So, if you managed to get yours early for the lower price congrats! Let’s hope these to sets make their way to the clearance aisle sooner rather than later.<\/span><\/p>\n

The IG-86 Droid has a swivel head, waist and wrists, with ball joint shoulders, elbows, hips, ankles and pivoting knees. Plus it features clamp like hands perfect for grasping weapons or prey. For accessories, IG-86 includes 2 batte droid blasters and a removable weapon pack capable of holding the blasters when not in use. Much like the\u00a0R2-D2<\/a>\u00a0from wave 1, Hasbro again raises the bar as this latest incarnation of our favorite protocol droid has great features that will hopefully carry on to realistic versions of him in the future. 3PO features several articulation points with ball joint ankles, knees, torso, elbows and head but that’s not all. He also has swivel wrists and a multi piece shoulder ball joint that provides them with a more dynamic range of motion. Another feature that this figure has is “glowing” eyes which do not glow per se but do illuminate by utilizing the light pipe design previously used on certain astromech and Jawa molds. Unfortunately, there are no accessories included with the figure which is a shame, but not surprising, since most of the dollars were allocated to producing one of the best C-3PO figures to date.<\/p>\n

\nThe\u00a0Yakface Toyguide<\/a>\u00a0gets a quick update today with my latest acquisition to theThe Clone Wars<\/i>\u00a0Collection:<\/a>\u00a0the Jedi Master\u00a0Plo Koon<\/a>. Although Master Koon has been translated very well from the series to action figure form, Hasbro still feels the need to short change dynamic characters like Jedi by not including key points of articulation. Here, Plo Koon lacks knee and ankle joints giving him a rather static pose from the waist down. Aside from that shortcoming, Plo Koon rocks as he features ball joint elbows, swivel wrists and an interchangeable hood piece that can be displayed up or down depending on your mood. And what Jedi would be complete without his trusty lightsaber? Plo Koon is armed to the teeth in that respect as he includes 2 lightsabers (one long and one short) and a sweet double bladed lightsaber gauntlet! If that isn’t enough the 2 lightsabers can attach to the the gauntlet forming a quad blade instrument of death!<\/p>\n

\nSideshow has announced a 1\/4 scale new Premium Format figure of Princess Leia in her slave outfit, from when she was held prisoner by Jabba the Hutt in “Return of the Jedi.” This 16.5″ tall figure has loads of detail from the movie, with a cloth skirt included as part of the outfit.<\/p>\n
