The\u00a0Yakface Toyguide<\/a>\u00a0updates resume with the next\u00a0entry in the\u00a0Star Wars Rebels<\/a>\u00a03-3\/4\u2033 line. Next, we take a look at\u00a0the\u00a0R2-D2 and C-3PO<\/a>\u00a0Mission Series set (MS02).<\/p>\n

PROS:<\/strong>\u00a0As a fan of the series and its aesthetic, these figures harken back to a simpler time of limited articulation and features – or lack there of. The sculpts for each droid are sharp and on par with the figures in the line thus far. There is room for improvement on the paint apps, but due to its limited application, there shouldn’t be too much of an effort required to track down good samples once they start hitting retail.<\/p>\n

CONS: <\/strong>I\u00a0would say\u00a0the C-3PO is the lesser of the two sculpts here as the design,\u00a0while reflective of the series, is very cartoony while R2 looks realistically styled. C-3PO also suffers from being a bit bland despite a minute metallic fleck in the plastic. The black deco applied to the mouth is in a word “weird<\/em>” and is slightly\u00a0distracting. It’s odd that Hasbro choose to tool up an all new R2 when the prior Saga Legends\/Mission Series figure<\/a> would have worked just as well.<\/p>\n
