Starting April 5<sup>th<\/sup>,\u00a0<em>Star Wars: Force for Change<\/em>\u00a0will match the donations of\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0fans to four select charities up to $1,000,000!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>To date,\u00a0<em>Star Wars: Force for Change\u00a0<\/em>has raised over $10,000,000 with the help of the amazing\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0community. This month-long campaign will lead up to \u201c<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0Day\u201d on May the 4<sup>th<\/sup>. The four select charities include the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in support of UNICEF Kid Power, American Red Cross, Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of America, and Make-A-Wish\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0fans are some of the most generous, thoughtful, and sympathetic people I have ever met,\u201d says Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. \u201cI am so proud of the charitable work they have done over the years and hope this month-long donation-matching campaign will go some way to express our sincere thanks for their tireless efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of the four-week period, which culminates at 11:59pm (PST) on May 4<sup>th<\/sup>, fans will be able to donate through\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.crowdrise.com\/forceforchange\">CrowdRise.com\/ForceForChange<\/a>\u00a0to these four charities and have their donations matched dollar for dollar up to $1,000,000.During the first week,\u00a0the first 20 fans to raise or donate at least $500 will win a Blu-ray of\u00a0<em>The Force Awakens<\/em>\u00a0signed by the cast<a href=\"#_edn1\" name=\"_ednref1\">[i]<\/a>, with more incentives to come.
