These are obviously meant for children to play with - not just collect. They are the same scale as Louis Marx playset figures used to be (1960's) and current Barzso, TSSD, and countless other manufacturers' figures of the same 54/60mm 'plastic toy soldier' type.

If these are sold cheap enough and if the company supports them with enough poses and introduces new sculpts these can be very successful.

Not every child can afford to build a collection of $10 (each) figures, but at $0.50 (each) it becomes a lot more price friendly.

Probably should be glad they didn't try to paint them. They would have been just blobbed with color. The sculpts are actually pretty crisp. Hasbro could not have done them justice. I just would like to see them sold in a more bulk form. ie. even cheaper!

Hasbro has their own ideas on what the consumer wants
people like us don't matter to them, they want new customers and have no plans to cater to their loyal base

He used Citadel paints by Games-workshop. It dries quickly and doesn't spread all to much (Black, white, gold, and copper don't work as well).

Fantastic painting, makes these much better.

However, I feel this entire Command line is going to be a flop overall. Just not enough people willing to take the time to go to the trouble of improving these like this.

These are a fun subline, but Hasbro once again misses the boat. They should be concentrating on making a splendid 3.75" line with great figures, playsets, vehicles and deluxes - the repercussions of their insanity with their 2012 lines continue to strike.

Those look great! If they were painted in production, I think there would have been more interest from the collecting community. I still think these will be popular among tabletop rpg gamers.
