Not to bash this line, but it really doesn’t seem like it’s done well in my area whatsoever. I would not be surprised if it folds… how long can it really go? I think it might be more interesting to a broader audience if it was a smaller scale…

I do know Barbie has added articulation
Is this something people desire?????
Now you know how I feel when they remove it from 3.75….
Modern Movement and pose ability should not be used as a means to charge us more money!

In reply to Peak-OB1. Disney makes $20 Princess dolls with super articulation. So there is precedent for them making SA dolls. Indeed, they were limited in articulation until a few years ago.

In reply to Samuel Crawford. agree. Monster High, DC Girls, Disney Descendants, Ever After High, all have pretty good articulation...in the more expensive dolls, but also have less articulation in cheaper dolls. It is a trend in the doll aisle right now.

Its not surprising, there are 5 POA basic 3.75 figures, as well as 5 POA 6 inch value figures, to go along with the 12 inch figures in 5 POA, why not also include a more affordable figure for this doll line? Many consumers aren’t interested in paying SA prices.

These simplified dolls are just another option for consumers. They will also probably be the ones the include with vehicles and play sets (if they go that route).

Why do they have advanced articulation anyway?
They should have similar builds to other dolls they compete against. Save articulation for 3.75 action figures.
Another one of their big problems it that they need to be in both the boys Isle and the doll isle.
I was talking to a guy the other day claiming he is a fan of Star Wars and didn’t have a clue what to buy his three girls for Christmas??? True story

I don’t know. As a doll collector myself, I’ve been spoiled by say the Disney Classic and some new Barbies that have full articulation. And they are mostly around $20.

I’d pay the extra five even with less articulation IF they had removable outfits. With all that plastic molded on outfits, I can’t do something fun like say put Sabine in Leia’s outfit or something.

Honestly my friend (who I shared this post) and I both agree that we are ok with the removal of that articulation if it keeps them affordable as they were to much (and we both collect dolls but stayed away from these due to price, though I do own the Hoth Leia figure – which was a gift).
