Most national brands of food do this – Nestle, Pepsi, Coke, Nabisco, Frito Lay, etc – because it helps them do in-field quality control and protect their brands image. Between the jobs it would create, and the money they could potentially save on collecting better data on their product sales, it’d be a fantastic development. Especially now that you can do so much in the field with smart phones and tablets, you could be actively tracking so much information.

They should at very least be contracting with a company to do this, but I guess saving money is more important than quality control and brand image.

I feel that there is a “Star Wars” burnout, especially with toy lines from TFA, R1, and TLJ sitting on store shelves all at the same time, and so close to the Solo movie ciming out. It’s all just a matter of time until nobody is buying any of it. And get Disney the hell out of Hasbros’ business!

If Hasbro was a better business partner for the retailers, they would either send reps out to pull most of that JUNK or would just have TRU ship most of it back to them for credit/etc. However, Hasbro has shown a true lack of vision for how bad they have doomed retailers by pushing product that the market does not want. Yet rather than understanding they have botched the line, they see it as "lower demand."

That’s all fine and dandy, but it’s still not gonna solve the lack of interest in the Star Wars line. And if the crappy case assortments/poor distribution continues, we will be in the exact same boat of failure we’ve seen for the last 5+ years. So sad what this line has gone to.
