One thing we have working in our favor is a longer gap of a year and a half between Solo and Episode 9, unlike the previous 3 films. So Hasbro finally has a chance to catch their breath and offer a few more figures to help fill in the gaps in our collection before focus on Episode 9 kicks in in mid to late 2019.

I do not generally post here, however, I had to give you Kudos on making mention of my personal favorite toy store (which sadly no longer exists). In addition, I fear the days of the “wall of figures” will never return to mass retail outlets.

Most national brands of food do this – Nestle, Pepsi, Coke, Nabisco, Frito Lay, etc – because it helps them do in-field quality control and protect their brands image. Between the jobs it would create, and the money they could potentially save on collecting better data on their product sales, it’d be a fantastic development. Especially now that you can do so much in the field with smart phones and tablets, you could be actively tracking so much information.

They should at very least be contracting with a company to do this, but I guess saving money is more important than quality control and brand image.
