Upon visiting my local mall yesterday, I noticed that the Build-A-Bear Workshop is advertising a new series of Star Wars themed Build-A-Bears. There are 3 new outfits to choose from: Han Solo, C-3PO and Princess Leia along with a blue “Star Wars Bear” that has a special graphic on the bottom of the foot. These new products will be available starting September 24 and if you visit the store that weekend, you’ll receive a FREE Star Wars poster with any Star Wars purchase (while supplies last).

VC12 Darth Sidious
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of Darth Sidious from the Vintage Collection.
PROS: After five long years of begging, Hasbro finally releases a Senate Duel version of this infamous Sith Lord. Wicked scary head sculpt. Highly posable.
CONS: The soft goods cowl looks more “grandma” than intended due to the fabric selection. The lower “skirt” is not accurate to the costume. (See example.)

New Battle Pack Images Surface
Our friends over at Sandtroopers.com have gotten there imperial mitts on a couple new Battle Pack images. Previously a rumor floated by Mr. Curto at Rebelscum, these new sets consist of the Battle of Orto Plutonia from the Clone Wars featuring Cold Weather Anakin, Obi-Wan, Rex and Chieftan Thi-Sen. The second is the Invasion of Utapau from Episode III featuring Commander Cody, Airborne Trooper, General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Although the figures in these packs are repacks, they do include the Galactic Battle Card and Mat for added play value – if you are into that kind of thing that is. The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the Mandalorian Police Officerfrom the Clone Wars Collection.
PROS: A nice looking figure for the most part, a little “TRON”-like, but cool. Well armed in the accessory department and the flip-up face shield is nice touch as well.
CONS: Lacks knee and ankle articulation.
