Target Exclusives Found
April 30, 2006 | 9:38 PM EST | Scott

Lucky Yak reader Paul Z. writes in with his find…
” I haven’t seen any reports about the UGH Target exclusives being found yet, so I thought I’d give ya a shout! I used the olde DPCI number routine & managed to find both the AWESOME “Skirmish in the Senate” Battle Pack & the cool in-flames “Demise of General Grievous” figure at my local Target store here in New Jersey on Friday. I had to give the DPCI number to someone to check to see if they had these in stock because they don’t have the scanners that let you put the numbers in & check to see if they have them in stock yourself. It made my day when the guy working the toy department came from the backroom with these in his hands. ”

Disney Star Wars Weekends Details
April 28, 2006 | 7:01 PM EST | Bill
Disney Fan Site WDW Magic has posted all the details on Disney’s Star Wars Weekends, coming soon to a certain theme park in Florida:
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Once again, the power of the Force and the magic of Disney combine for Star Wars Weekends, a family-friendly fan-fest scheduled for four consecutive weekends in May and June at the Disney-MGM Studios theme park. The sci-fi fun kicks off May 19, 2006, and continues each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June 11, 2006.
With the park’s famous Star Tours thrill ride serving as the centerpiece of the celebration, the annual event fills the Disney-MGM Studios theme park with the largest gathering anywhere of heroes, heroines, droids and villains from the famous Star Wars films.
Star Wars celebrities also take part in meet-and-greet sessions, star conversations and Hollywood-style motorcades each day of the event.
New this year: actor Warwick Davis — known to audiences as the Ewok scout “Wicket,” as well as lead roles in the films “Willow” and “Leprechaun,” and as Professor Flitwick in the popular “Harry Potter” motion pictures — will play the new role of celebrity host each weekend of the festival. Davis portrayed Wicket the Ewok in “Return of the Jedi” on the silver screen, as well as two “Ewok” movies that aired on the ABC Television Network in the mid-1980s.
In addition to Davis, Star Wars celebrities scheduled to appear include:
Weekend #1, May 19-21, 2006
Peter Mayhew — Chewbacca, the loyal Wookiee in the original Star Wars trilogy and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Rick McCallum — famed Star Wars producer
Weekend #2, May 26-28, 2006
Jake Lloyd — young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace
Matt Wood — voice of General Grievous in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and the Supervising Sound Editor for Skywalker Sound
Weekend #3, June 2-4, 2006
Jay Laga’aia — Captain Typho, Senator Amidala’s head of security in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Bonnie Piesse — young Aunt Beru in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Weekend #4, June 9-11, 2006
Jeremy Bulloch — Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy
Temuera Morrison — Jango Fett, the dangerous bounty hunter in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
Throughout Star Wars Weekends guests never know which Star Wars character they’ll find around the corner, whether it’s the heroic Jedi Luke Skywalker, the sinister Greedo, the furry and lovable Chewbacca or evil Siths Darth Vader and Darth Maul. Jedi Mickey Mouse — dressed in his very own Jedi robe — has even been known to make meet-and-greet appearances during the festival. Meet-and-greets with more than 50 famous villains and heroes from all six Star Wars films bring guests face-to-face with their favorite characters.
Another popular Star Wars Weekends event is Jedi Training Academy. Designed for young “Obi-Wanna-Bes” and presented on the Rebel Base Stage, it gives Jedi hopefuls the chance to perfect their moves with a lightsaber. Following instruction by a Jedi Master, young Padawans are challenged to test their newly acquired lightsaber skills against one of the evil Siths.
Other festival activities in the Star Wars Weekends galaxy include:
Star Wars Legends — Visiting Star Wars celebrities take part in a talk show-style conversation inside the theme park’s ABC Theatre. Guests hear directly from the actors, actresses and creative minds that have brought the popular film series to life since Star Wars debuted in 1977.
To Endor… and Back? — Guests can take flight to the moon of Endor in Star Tours, an action-packed flight simulator that salutes the Star Wars series. Synchronizing a stunning film with the virtually limitless gyrations of the simulator, the attraction takes guests on a hair-raising, light-speed trip aboard a careening star speeder. The rookie droid pilot tries his best to get the ship back to port while dodging comets and Imperial Tie Fighters.
Who Wants to be a Jedi? — Special editions of the popular game show attraction “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-Play It!” will be presented, with Star Wars-inspired questions and surprise appearances by film characters. The attraction’s studio audience can join in the fun by answering trivia questions using keypads installed at their seats. Younger fans can also take part in the Padawan Mind Challenge, a trivia contest geared for children under age 12.
One-of-a-Kind Collectibles — Star Wars collectors will find a treasure trove of special-edition merchandise each weekend. Once again, Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. have created event-exclusive Star Wars memorabilia — from trading pins and commemorative posters to apparel, medallions and other limited-edition items — that will be available in Tatooine Traders. The themed retail location is adjacent to the Ewok Village set at the Star Tours attraction.
Star Wars Weekends will launch into orbit May 19, 2006, and will be held four consecutive weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) through June 11, 2006.

BOUNTY HUNTERS, GET READY FOR A SEARCH OF GALACTIC IMPORTANCE
April 27, 2006 | 9:17 PM EST | Bill
This just in from Hasbro:
Hasbro to Offer Limited Edition Star Wars George Lucas Action Figure
Pawtucket, RI (April 2006) – The Star Wars galaxy is full of characters who set out on a quest to find something of great value: Boba Fett searched for Han Solo in order to secure a valuable bounty from Jabba the Hut; Luke Skywalker set out to return his father to the light side; and now, Star Wars fans have a chance to embark on a similar search to capture the crowning action figure of any collection: a limited edition George Lucas in Stormtrooper Disguise tribute figure.
Beginning this April, fans are invited to participate in the “Star Wars Ultimate Galactic Hunt” to secure a limited edition George Lucas Stormtrooper action figure, which will not be available at retail locations. To obtain the prize, collectors and fans must tap their inner Jango Fett and search for the new Star Wars vintage figures.
“As the architect of the Star Wars galaxy, George Lucas has entertained millions of fans with his classic space saga of good versus evil,” said Derryl Depriest, brand Director for Hasbro’s Star Wars division. “The new action figure allows Hasbro to honor Lucas, the greatest character in the universe.”
In order to partake in this unparalleled hunt, collectors must find and mail five proof-of-purchase stickers (plus shipping and handling) from the new vintage figures in order to obtain the George Lucas figure. The assortment of classic KENNER-style figures will include Luke Skywalker in X-Wing Pilot outfit, Han Solo in Trenchcoat, Greedo, Biker Scout, and Sand People.
In addition, throughout the spring, special limited edition “Silver Foil” packaged figures will be available at retail locations. This prized variation, ideal for the die-hard Star Wars collector, includes a foil package, a special vac-metal silver foil display base, and a silver-painted version of the hologram figure. There will be 10 different Silver Foil figures in this line. These include: Darth Vader, Han Solo (w/Carbonite), Boba Fett, Snowtrooper, AT-AT Driver, Commander Cody, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, and Scorch (from Star Wars: Republic Commando).
For the true bounty hunters, several store exclusive figures are available this May as well. Toys ‘R Us will feature the Clone Wars Gunship and The Hunt for Grievous Battle Pack. And Target will offer The Demise of Grievous super-premium 3.75” figure and Skirmish in the Senate battle pack.
The approximate retail price for Vintage figures is $9.99. The approximate retail price for the basic figures is $6.99. Figures will be available at mass merchandise locations nationwide. All figures introduced as part of the “Star Wars Ultimate Galactic Hunt” will have a special foil sticker that call attention to their inclusion in the hunt.

VSTC Lucas on Ebay
April 27, 2006 | 1:08 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Be careful out there if you look for these on ebay. I came across an auction tonight that shows the pic of the Lucas figure in it’s clamshell packaging, but the auction is for the certificates you need to send in. Lucas Stormtrooper Auction
This particular seller appears to be honest and explains what you are getting, but it is possible that future sellers will try and mislead buyers into thinking they are getting the actual figure rather than the certificates. Just a heads up to be careful.
I (Deron) ran across an auction for the figures carded but out of the clamshells and certificates not included. PLEASE read before you buy!!
Yak / SWAN / MiniMag Giveaway Clarification
April 27, 2006 | 12:02 AM EST | Scott
The winners for our recent giveaway were announced on episode 35 of Star Wars Action News, so if you entered, make sure you download and listen, it could be you.
NOTE – Arnie and Marjorie asked a trivia question about that week’s show at the end. This was for the benefit of the three giveaway winners ONLY. It was for the purposes of verifying that the winners had listened to the whole show and not simply fast forwarded to the end. It was NOT a separate giveaway. Only the people whose names were drawn should be answering that question.
Arnie wanted me to pass that along to you, our loyal Yakface readership, as he was getting several emails from non-winners attempting to answer the question and win prizes. He admits that it might have not been made abundantly clear on the podcast, but will attempt to clarify on episode 36 next Monday.

Longtime Yak reader Dressel Rebel sends in some great pics of a custom figure I know we all want… two Super Articulated Kashyyyk Clones!
Hopefully Hasbro will make this figure someday, but until then it’s nice to know that with patience and practice, customizers can make their own assault squad to enforce the Emperor’s New Order on Kashyyyk by repainting the excellent VSTC Biker Scout! Great work Dressel Rebel and thanks for sharing it!

C4 Responses
April 26, 2006 | 7:35 AM EST | Bill
Thanks to everyone who wrote in, especially our West Coast Readers. Many of you made an excellent point that there is no where in the US which would be a one day drive from everywhere else in the lower 48 states, and that unlike Denver or Indy, LA’s number of airports, including LAX will likely result in much lower airfare for many attending than either of the prior locations. In addition, a number of Yak Readers pointed out that California is, in effect, the home of Star Wars with Lucas’ headquarters there. As a result, if anything C4 could even be bigger than C3 was.
C4 411
April 25, 2006 | 7:52 PM EST | Bill
Yak Reader John sent us this scoop on C4:
“While the the Los Angeles Convention Center website is down,
I did call their event planning department to see what is going on at their covention center in May 2007. The Electronic Gaming Expo (E3 ie the huge video game exposition for professionals only) and a some kind of “Star Wars Celebration” event that month. General rule of thumb that I have encountered is that convention centers have event information in hand and posted for scheduling purposed usually before an organization officially announces it.”
And we got this from Yak Reader Tia:
I don’t know about you.
But this news is absolutely terrible for me.
For those of us who attended C1, C2 and C3, this is pretty terrible.
If this is held in California or any east/west coast, it will be not near as big and high attendance as the others.
Gas prices and airplane prices to California would be really high. Unlike Indy and even Denver to some degree, which were centrally located.
With gas prices surely over $3 by next May, someone should be pointing out to Lucasfilm that they should put this show somewhere in the interior of the US (Indy, Chicago, Atlanta, Davenport, Louisiana, somewhere other than a large distance from everyone coastline).
But if there is a planned announcement next month, then there isn’t much time. As once they announce it, it will be sealed.
I really think the websites should try to group together and get a petition going to get this thing in a central location (or at least show them how poorly it will be received in the CA location, with a “could you attend” poll this week or something).
Like I said, time is of the essence, though. As someone who wishes they could attend (and attended the other 3), there’s just no way to go all the way to CA from Ohio with 2 adults and 4 kids, so this will be one of the many families missing out this time.
Anything within 1 day’s drive would be good from either coast for everyone… but there’s no way people Indiana and eastward are gonna be able to drive 3 days both ways, and afford that unbelievable gas bill for the show if in California.
ALERT….ALERT….ALERT… UGH SCAM
April 25, 2006 | 7:49 PM EST | Bill
Yak Reader SW89 sent in this report:
hey i just want to let everyone know that the BAD collectors are at work, i work for a big retail store and we had someone return 10 figures today and all had the the Redemption tabs and such out of the package. i think that is just wrong! i knew something was wrong when they were brought back to toys, the way you can tell is that the corner of each figure had been raised and opened and these were the heat sealed ones! so be on the look out for the BAD collectors !!!

Han Speaks Japanese for Beer?
April 25, 2006 | 2:13 PM EST | Keri
I stumbled across a really fun website while surfing for something else the other day (isn’t that how it always happens?) The website is www.japander.com and it has videos of celebrities doing commercials in Japan. Most big name celebrities get paid hefty sums for Japanese commercials and due to contracts, most of these commercials have remained unseen in other parts of the world, until now.
Among the many celebrities’ videos listed on www.japander.com are some of our favorite Star Wars luminaries. Ewan McGregor has done many commercials promoting jeans and a school for learning English which are downright corny. Natalie Portman can be seen doing hair care product ads. Our own creator, George Lucas is seen with Stormtroopers aiding his direction in Panasonic commercials from the mid 90’s. My favorite of all though has to be Harrison Ford speaking Japanese while drinking and promoting Kirin Biru (Beer) – classic stuff!
Name The Rykrof Enloe Photonovel Series Reminder
April 25, 2006 | 11:45 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Don’t forget, the deadline for your submissions to name the Rykrof Enloe Photonovel Series is Sunday, April 30. New chapters in the series will be coming soon, including Special Editions of the orginal chapters.
The following week after the deadline, a winner will be announced and credited with the title name. A custom figure of Rykrof Enloe will also be sent to the winner. Second and Third place will also each receive a MOMC SAGA2 Utapau Clonetrooper.
We’ve received some very creative entries so far but there is still time to add in your entry too! So if you have a good idea for a name for the series, please email me at rykrofenloe@yahoo.com with your name and your suggestion for the title of the series. After the deadline we will go through the titles and the most appropriate one will be chosen. If the same choice is given by multiple respondents, the first one to email the chosen title will be the winner.
Please remember that the title you suggest should be one intended to be an overall title for the entire series, not just one specific photonovel. And there is no limit to the number of entries you can have. You can put them all in one email or separate emails, whatever is easiest is fine. Thank you for your support!

If you normally download Star Wars Action News via iTunes or another RSS feed subscriber, please visit our web site at Review Star Wars.com or use this link this week.
We apologize for any inconvenience. The forums, RSS feed, and blog should be back up by the first of the month, if not earlier. I will e-mail you all to let you know when the site is fully restored, and until then feel free to e-mail us at show@reviewstarwars.com or call our voice mail at 415-508-JEDI!
This week on Star Wars Action News, Marjorie and Arnie discuss the merits of the different ways to display your collection. Topics include finding the right kind of shelving down to what to do when you run out of space. You spend a lot of money on your collection, make sure that it looks good.
This weekend Marjorie and Arnie visited the Pittsburgh Comicon and hosted the collecting panel on Saturday. It was a great time and lots of Star Wars fan showed up to discuss collecting.
Also discussed this week is the new Demise of General Grievous figure and as always, what you can find in the stores.
Finally, the winners of the Yakface/MiniMag/Star Wars Action News contest are announced! The only way to win is to listen!

VOTC UGH Figures
April 24, 2006 | 12:56 PM EST | Mark
OK, This is more editorial than news, but for those of you that have not read about this giveaway, it may be news to you.
As can be found HERE, in the instructions, you will find that while Hasbro has decided to do this giveaway with the VOTC figures this is not so bad of a deal anyway. I know these figures are more expensive and the thought of having to open the bubble and ruin the card for the mail away had many collectors upset. This is not the case. The UPC label is nothing more than a sticker inside the bubble, taped behind the cardboard insert.
The trick to keeping your figure in MINT (but bubble opened) condition, is to find the bubbles that are taped shut, not heatsealed.
As to why Hasbro did this switch was to probably avoid having collectors ripping open the bubbles and stealing the UPCs as the normal “Receipt required” is not required for this mailaway.
Obviously this is difficult for collectors that want theirs unopened. After opening mine and then closing the bubbles back up, no wear was shown from the outside. My overall thoughts on this for Hasbro, are.. Not a bad job of thinking outside the box and trying to keep the collectors in mind.

S.W.A.N. Having Server Problems
April 23, 2006 | 3:27 PM EST | Scott
Due to the rapidly increasing popularity of the Star Wars Action News podcast, they received more hits than their old server could handle, we’ll let them tell you about it…
Star Wars Action News is having the best kind of problem–we’re more popular than we ever expected! In the month of April our wonderful listeners have put us in the top 25 podcasts at Podcast Alley (out of over 18,000!) and downloaded our show for over 100GB of data!
While Marjorie and Arnie are pleased as punch over these developments, their evil overlord of a web host company is not as excited, and has pulled the plug on their web site. Sensing this was going to happen, Arnie had been able to move most of the site to a new host before the old location was taken down, so the episodes and web site Review Star Wars.com are still available. The new web host company offers over one terabyte of bandwidth so we should be okay for a while.
However, our RSS feed pointed to our old host. What this means is listeners who subscribe to our show through iTunes, Juice, PodAmigo, or any other podcast aggregator will not see our new show on Monday. The show will appear for subscribers on May 1st, when our evil web host company allows the XML file to be accessed again. Those subscribers can still get our latest show, which will be posted Monday, April 24th, directly from our web site, reviewstarwars.com and the XML feed will be fully restored by the 1st of May.
Additionally, our forums will be off-line as well. In the meantime you can e-mail Marjorie & Arnie at show@reviewstarwars.com or call their voice mail at 415-508-JEDI.
Thank you for listening to Star Wars Action News!

VTSC Luke Has His Daddy’s Saber (no, the OTHER saber)
April 22, 2006 | 8:52 PM EST | Scott

But on getting it home I noticed something interesting, the Lightsaber hilt on X-Wing Luke’s belt is VOTC Darth Vader’s Saber. (In case you don’t know the difference, Vader’s saber has the black emitter on the end and the black center strap where the control box is, Luke’s is silver all the way down to the grip.)
Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this until after I opened the figure (See my pic above). But for a carded example, check out this photo from our ToyGuideLooking closely, you’ll notice it has Vader’s saber too.
I would really be surprised if Hasbro bothered to make a running change to include the correct saber hilt, but I thought I’d give you guys a head’s up just in case a variation IS in the cards.

YakPoll – UGH’s, Exclusives Getting You Down?
April 18, 2006 | 3:43 PM EST | Scott
In the last couple of years, our little hobby has seen a lot of exclusive and hard-to-get merchandise come down the pipeline.
From convention exclusives, retailer exclusives and online exclusives, it seems like we’re having to jump through more and more hoops these days to get the goodies we want.
And in 2006 a new wrinkle has been added to the mix, in the form of the Ultimate Galactic Hunt figures or UGH (appropriately), which has many a collector pulling their hair out in frustration to complete a set.
So our new poll asks, what have all these chase figures and exclusives done to your mood? Do you enjoy the thrill of the hunt or are you considering packing it all in? Vote now and let us know how you feel.
Star Wars Action News – Episode XXXIV
April 18, 2006 | 11:08 AM EST | Scott

In this week’s show, Marjorie and Arnie continue their Collecting 101 series this week with a discussion on what things you need to watch out for when purchasing high ticket items. Listen as Marjorie shares a tale of eBay, 9 children, a lawyer and a collapsing floor. Curious? Download this week’s show for the amusing tale of Arnie’s potentially expensive lesson.
This is also the last week to enter our contest with Yakface and MiniMag Stands to win figure stands, Ultimate Galactic Hunt figures, Clone Wars figures, and a Scorch! Listen to the show for details on how to enter and win.
Don’t forget that Marjorie & Arnie are hosting the collecting panel at the Pittsburgh Comicon this Saturday! If you are at the show, please stop by the panel to listen. If you see them on the convention floor, maker sure to say “hi” to snag a Star Wars Action News exclusive.
Do you know of a friend who listens but doesn’t get our newsletter? If so, tell them they’re missing out. This week a special Star Wars Action News show will be available only to newsletter subscribers, and only for 24 hours. Once that time span is up it will be gone forever. So tell your friends to subscribe atreviewstarwars.com
Finally, Arnie & Marjorie are one spot at Podcast Alley away from getting new Star Wars tattoos as promised in their last episode. Vote for us at Podcast Alley using this link.
Have a good week!

Commander Cody Upgrade
April 17, 2006 | 12:15 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Yak Reader Mike writes in with a nice solution for those of you who have a Commander Cody, and want to be able to recreate one of the most pivotal scenes in Revenge Of The Sith –
I didn’t take any Star Wars Easter pics, but I’d like to share some photos that I took of the Cody I recently purchased. I was surprised to see that he didn’t come packaged with a hand-held hologram that would represent his pivotal scene in the ROTS movie, so I came up with a substitute that I thought turned out pretty good. I popped off the hologram figure/stand that came with the Jedi Council 3 pack scene. I always thought it looked out of scale with them. Using an exacto blade I sliced off the stand and evened off the bottom. It fits perfectly in Cody’s hand. Just thought I mentioned it to you fine folks if someone hasn’t already. Awesome website, thanks for all the info.!!!!!
Thank you for the cool tip and the pic Mike!

Thanks for the pic Shawn and congrats on the find!

Ready For Astromech Races?
April 15, 2006 | 3:06 PM EST | Bill
It looks like Tomy and our Jayson are on the same page… Looking at the controller for the remote controlled R2-Q5 it clearly says “BAND 2” on the side. We’ve just tested with the R2-D2 from last year and it looks like at least these two astromechs can be run at the same time without interference with each other’s controllers. With that said it looks like astromech races and dueling astromechs are a GO!
UPDATE:
R4-P17 just arrived from Fed-EX and his remote is labeled band 3. Looks like all three droids will play together after all!
VTSC Hunted Down
April 15, 2006 | 1:07 PM EST | Jayson

Last night, I managed to score the VTSC figures from my local MN Target and I didn’t even have to use the DPCI (087-06-1511) trick. I simply asked an employee if they had anymore figures that they could put out, since the pegs only had a couple Hoth Vaders and Poggle the Lesser on them. To my surprise the stock person brought out a case of the these puppies.

Titanium BSG Shipping In SW Assortments
April 11, 2006 | 12:31 AM EST | Scott
As a huge fan of Sci-Fi’s new Battlestar Galactica myself, this might be of interest to you like-minded folks out there, here’s Jeff with this report….
” Even though this isn’t really Star Wars, it is sorta related. Just thought you might like to know that while I was putting out a box of the new Titanium series vehicles last night, I came across a strange vehicle that didn’t appear in any of the Star Wars movies. After rolling my eyes and realizing what ship it was, I was pleased to have discovered the first shipment of the new Battlestar Galactica ships packaged in with the other Star Wars Titaniums. There were 2 Cylon Raiders, 2 Galacticas, and 2 Vipers. I also found the Silver Slave 1 UGH. I currently don’t have pics, but the find should now say they are hitting stores. This was in Omaha, NE. ”

CreatureCantina.com’s Anniversary Celebration Crash
April 10, 2006 | 11:18 AM EST | Scott
Last week we ran a big story announcing the 5-year anniversary ofCreatureCantina.com, prompting thousands of our readers to click on a link that led to a dead site. As fate would have it, at 9am Wednesday morning the hard drive inside CreatureCantina.com’s web server failed. Failed HARD. And could not be restored. And it was all our fault! We sent so much traffic to CreatureCantina.com the the server just couldn’t handle it.
Now the site is back up and running on a brand new, state-of-the-art server! So if you click on the link it’ll actually go there! Bothan Spies Make Off With Page Files For Death Star Plans 2
April 7, 2006 | 11:18 PM EST | Bill
No many Bothans were not killed, mained, or even harmed in the preparation of this news item, however our friends at Death Star Plans2.com can empathize with the Emperor on the loss of technical data for his second death star. Their server is offline due to problems beyond their control (sorry Moff Jerjerrold), and the Emperor’s arrival won’t happen for about a week to “get things back on schedule”.
More Vintage Found at Retail

After finding out the DPCI number for these, I tried it at a local Target store here in North Charleston, SC. No luck at that store. So, I decided to contact another store in Summerville, SC, which was only 10 miles away. A very nice and polite lady helped me on the phone. I gave her the DPCI number and she told me that yes, we have them in the back. I asked her if it was possible for me to stop by and get a set of them and she told me yes. She told me that when I got to the store, just go straight to the Domestics section and she even gave me her name. I got to the store, found her, and she went straight to the back and pulled out an unopened case of the figures for me. I was like a kid at a candy store. She even stated to me “we have another case back there as well”. This lady was one of those rare people you find who just are willing to go out of their way to help someone, no matter what they’re doing. She was great!!! Wish there were more store employees out their who loved helping people like she helped me. By the way, the figures are $11.99 each, and the DPCI number for these are 087-06-1511. All 5 of these have the same DPCI number. Happy shopping!!!

CreatureCantina.com Celebrates It’s 5-Year Anniversary
April 5, 2006 | 9:24 AM EST | Scott

On April Fool’s Day, 2001, a band of renegade Star Wars humorists set out on a mission to save the universe from the forces of evil! Um…not really. Actually, that’s not even close to being true. In fact, they’ve done more to aid and abet the forces of evil along the way than they have to thwart them. After years of spitting defamation, disgorging libel, and spewing profanity, they aren’t exactly the poster children of all that is good and righteous.
But they do make people laugh (so they claim). Five years and 1389 stories later, they’re still mostly alive and kicking. And in this week’s triumphant update they’re giving something to the fans who have stuck with them through it all.CreatureCantina.com proudly introduces the CantinaCCG! Visit CreatureCantina.com this week, download the
first wave of CCG cards, and play what may well be the world’s the greatest CCG ever based on the most notorious fan comic to hit the Star Wars fan community…!
But that’s not all…CreatureCantina.com has distributed a set of 10rare “chase” cards on Web sites all across the globe, including this very site! Each card in this set can only be downloaded at the site on which it is exclusively hosted. Visit every site to put together the ultimate CantinaCCG deck, and you’ll be sure to humiliate all your friends on the field of battle!
Yakface.com’s exclusive CantinaCCG card is Ackmena the bartender! Click the images above to download.
Congratulations to CreatureCantina.com for five years of tickling our funny bones and chaffing our assets.
Name The Rykrof Enloe Photonovel Series
April 4, 2006 | 11:01 PM EST | rykrofenloe
Some customizers in the Star Wars collecting community may be familiar with fan-fic character, Rykrof Enloe.
Over the past year and a half I have been happy to work on a photonovel series that can be found on several fan sites such as The Custom Alliance
and is discussed in forums at both Jedidefender.com and at Rebelscum.com as forum members critique the series and offer ideas of where the series may lead.
Beginning before the events of The Phantom Menace, Commander Enloe now finds himself in the middle of the Clone Wars, often fighting terrorist organizations in addition to aiding the Jedi Order in the struggle against the Separatists. As the dark day of Order 66 grows closer we will be bringing you many chapters here at Yakface in the future.
I am very happy to have the support of the team here in working on this series and we have decided to have a contest to create an official name for the series here at Yakface. Entries are due by May 1st, 2006. If you have a good idea for a name for the series, please email me at rykrofenloe@yahoo.com with your name and your suggestion for the title of the series. After that time we will go through the titles and the most appropriate title will be chosen. If the same choice is given by multiple respondents, the first one to email the chosen title will be the winner and the title will appear on the main header for the series.
The winner will be given credit for their submission, and sent free of charge, a special custom-made Rykrof Enloe figure.
Thank you, and please get those entries in! Please remember to email them to me, no PM’s on this, so I can keep this organized and together. Also the name should be one intended to be an overall title for the entire series, not just one specific photonovel.
There is no limit to the number of entries you can have. You can put them all in one email or separate emails, whatever is easiest is fine. And if anyone has any questions to view any specific past photonovels in the series, please let me know.

More UGH Lucas Stormtrooper News
April 4, 2006 | 11:26 AM EST | rykrofenloe
Rebelscum has updated with new pics of the UGH George Lucas Stormtrooper figure. The latest pics seem to be an improvement over previous images. It appears it will be on a vintage styled card rather than in a white mailer box, and will have a more detailed helmet sculpt rather than the original POTF2 Stormtrooper helmet. Still not using the VOTC sculpt, but an overall better looking figure.

Collection Room…
April 3, 2006 | 7:02 PM EST | Mark
As I completed the construction of the walls for my star wars collection room, I began to start to think about how to display it. Since most of us cannot afford to put together a room like the awesome display Philip Wise has, most of us use a bedroom or den to display our things, I built a small room in the basement. I was wondering.. what is the best way to display these items… so I thought about the rest of the collecting community… do you have a room that is made up of just STAR WARS toys and collectibles? If so.. send in images of the room and some of your ideas on how you displayed these items.. Do you have a stand with a section for just one item??? Just Vader, or Maul, or R2? Is it just a mismash of things? Send in your Star Wars room to me with as many images and a small write up if you want and I will be starting a section for everyone to see.
It looks like someone jumped the gun.
April 3, 2006 | 12:12 AM EST | Bill
Well we wish we were just telling you that Paul at DSP2 jumped the gun on putting out the info on the ATTE early, however it appears that they just jumped the gun on April first instead. We now return you to hoping without hope for an ATTE in the 3 3/4 line…

There Is Another UGH Figure
April 1, 2006 | 11:53 PM EST | Bill
That’s the bad news. The good news is you already know about it. The Target exclusive Demise of Grevious figure’s Star Case bears a ultimate Galactic Hunt sticker, making it the 11th UGH figure. Given this, it seems he should start appearing at Target stores in May if Target is coordinating his release with the official timeframe for the UGH which was announced in Hasbro.com some time ago.
No Grevious does not include a silver hologram figure. We’ve just updated our Toy Guide to rbing you detailed images carded and loose of Grevious in all his biomechanical glory. Click here for all the images!
