PROS: The added articulation in the legs and soft goods “skirt” make this the near-perfect revision to the prior figure from 2009. Nice touch supplying the lightsaber from his slain former padawan.
CONS:Despite having a phenomenal head sculpt, its design prevents any real head movement/positioning.

Our friends at Sandtroopers have received a few new images today showcasing some yet-to-be-officially-announced figures for the Clone Wars line. Head on over for an advanced look at Clone Trooper Hevy (in Training Armor), Obi-Wan Kenobi (new sculpt), Cad Bane (new sculpt) w/TODO-360 and Ahsoka’s astromech, R7-A7!
PROS: A nice repaint of the basic battle droid mold. The figure has a nice silver/metallic wash in areas in addition to the yellow commander markings.
CONS: Legs lack articulation (knee and ankle) that would really help in the overall stability and playability of the figure. The legs also warp very easily making the use of a display stand almost mandatory. Finally, and extra joint in the arms (recycled from the Battle at B’Omarr Monastery sculpt) would/should have been utilized here as well.

PROS: One of the best figures in the entire Star Wars line, not just the Clone Wars segment. She is wonderfully articulated, accessorized and captures the unique design style of the animated series perfectly.
CONS: The antenna on her head is a little wonky and too close to the center of her head. A bit of silver/gray paint would have gone a long way toward improving it.

Toys”R”Us updates their sales this week with a nice discount on the NEW Rise of Boba Fett Ultimate Battle Pack and it is now $89.99! (A $10 to $20 savings depending on your store’s pricing) Also this week, the Radio Controlled Hailfire Droid is marked down to $49.99 (from $59.99). And as we reported earlier this week, the Exclusive Nikto Guard is now free with a Star Wars purchase over $30.00.
PROS: Finally, we’ve received the figure that was originally intended to be included with the Clone Wars Jabba’a Palace Battle Pack from 2008. A great looking figure all around and well accessorized.
CONS: Lack of articulation in the legs limits poses available and the pre-posed leg positioning tends to make this figure unstable. A rather generic figure for an exclusive and the $10+ pricepoint might hamper this figure’s sell-through at retail.
