Joining the never-ending crop of variants from the Vintage Collection (half of them seem to spawn from this Luke figure alone), Jedi Temple Archives is reporting that Hasbro has finally corrected the missing “chrome” gradient in the name pill for the Luke Skywalker (Endor Capture) first present on the “Jedi Knight Outfit” cardback from wave 3. Head on over for a detailed look.

And Now… Matters are Worse
There is another. Yep, Hasbro, in its quest to drive the last bit of fun from collecting has thrown another curveball into the mix by giving the TVC Wedge Antilles a variant card back! Click on through for more…
VC25 R2-D2 Cardback Variant
Proving that they are willing to address their mistakes (from time to time) Hasbro corrected the “First Issue” error on the back of the VC25 R2-D2 card. Toyguide Update: VC49 Fi-Ek Sirch (Variant)
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the latest variant from the Vintage Collection: VC49 Fi-Ek Sirch (Jedi Knight).
This running change revises the pale blue lightsaber which shipped in this figure’s original run and replaced it with a darker, more vibrant blue mold.
Head to the toyguide for the full image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this variation is worth adding to your collection.
You can also weigh in with your impressions on the figures we add to our toyguide on facebook and in our forums.

Weequay Neck Variant Confirmed
For a while now, there have been rumblings of a variant for the Weequay Skiff Master which addresses the disproportionate neck post length. Rebelscum forum member “EmperorPalpitate” has posted a couple side-by-side comparison shots confirming the running change (on right).
There is another….
Variation hunters rejoice/commit seppuku. Despite Hasbro’s insistence that running changes are too hard to manage, it appears that another switcheroo has been made in the kid targeted Saga Legends line. Joining Obi-Wan and the Battle Droids is Darth Vader (SL06) which now sports the “500th Vader” sculpt. Initial production runs of this Legends release included a repack of the TLC BD08 sculpt. Updated: Saga Legends (SL12) Obi-Wan Running Change
It looks like Hasbro heard our cries about the initial mold chosen for the Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Saga Legends line. As you may have seen, the first shipments of this figure included a repack of the mold first used in 2003 Saga line as the Outlander Nightclub version. New cases shipping now look to have switched this figure out for the more respectable 2008 TAC mold. No word yet if a similar upgrade to the Jango Fett is in the works.
