NY Toy Fair gets under way in a few weeks and, as you know, this year marks the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars. Packaging across many brands will display the above logo and the return of the iconic double racing stripe — at least until the marketing push for The Last Jedi begins that is.
UPDATE: JediNews is currently posting their coverage of the UK Toy Fair in London and this post confirms our teaser from earlier today. Revell’s packaging design always carries the current (or in this case, upcoming) line look for the Star Wars brand and we expect it will be no different for the 40th Anniversary branded products.
Looks like Toys”R”Us* will be playing host to another 6″ Black Series figure from Rogue One. The peg warming “Rhino Driver” is soon to be joined by another Imperial trooper. Hopefully Toys”R”Us pegs can handle the extra cargo after receiving their Dumbo drop shipment.
UPDATE: *Toys”R”Us may be the retail partner in Canada as since Toy Fair 2017, it was announced to be coming to Target in the US.

Hot Toys has announced their R2-D2 (The Force Awakens) 1:6 scale figure. It features Touch LED light-up functions, remote control sound effects and a die cast dome. Watch for it to go up for preorder on Sideshow Collectibles soon.
Sideshow and Iron Studios are proud to present the Darth Vader Legacy Replica. This limited edition statue is crafted from polystone and is based on original movie references from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Approximately 20 inches tall, the Darth Vader Statue is hand-painted and features additional arms and a LED lighted lightsaber for multiple display options. There are also light-up features in the base, belt, and chest (which shows the exact sequence of lights that appear in the film, based on the original prop).
The Vintage Kenner line holds a place of reverence for many collectors to this day — especially the first 12 figures. Over the years we’ve received many different iterations of those characters but two have yet to be represented in the “modern scale” of collecting.
