Enrico writes in with a new store find today revealing the app-enabled Smart R2-D2.
I came across these at a local Walmart in San Diego this morning. I tried to buy the 12″ Rebels Vader but wasn’t allowed to. The remote R2-D2 was a surprise item. I haven’t seen it in any advance catalog. Looking at the box, it’s controlled via an app on Android and iPhone. Sorry I didn’t get pictures of the box.
You can download the app now to control the Bluetooth Smart R2-D2 via iTunes app store.

Mashable.com has posted a first look article showcasing the features of the upcoming Star Wars StudioFX app launching on Sept. 30 with the role out of new Rogue One products.
The free app will be available for for iOS and Android.
