The team at First Order Transmissions is having a raffle to raise funds in an effort to assist those affected by the devastation in Puerto Rico and Mexico City. On October 27, all of those that have donated as little as $10 will be eligible to win one of dozens of prizes offered up from our personal collections as well as donated by followers of our show. The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society, in conjunction with PSWCS.org, will be holding their annual toy drive to benefit Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion. This year’s drive will be held at Toy & Comic Heaven (1841 Norristown Rd, Maple Glen, PA 19002) on Sunday, November 22nd starting at 11:00 am.

MediCinema will be holding The Official Star Wars Charity Dinner & Quiz at The Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London, W1 on Thursday 2nd February 2012 to support the release of Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace in 3D. The Official Star Wars Blog updates with an interesting article announcing a collaborative effort between Lucasfilm and Italian advertising agency H-57 Creative Station to produce and sell limited edition posters showcasing Star Wars characters created with typography.
