On Sunday, May 22 ToyMan Show returns in St. Louis! Vendor toys range from the latest Star Wars Clone Wars and Vintage figures to everyone’s classic favorites of GI Joe and Transformers from the glory days of the 1980s. You never know what you can score at these shows, and if you’re in the St. Louis area it’s usually well worth swinging by. For more details click on Toymanshow.com
There have been some rumblings “on the internets” that there is an impending announcement (within the next 2 months) regarding Celebration 6 and its location which is touted to be a real “surprise”.
I don’t care where it is as long as it’s not Florida in August again.
Tomorrow (Oct. 9) marks the 7th JediCon WV at the Kruger Street Toy and Train Museum in Wheeling WV, with special guests John Booth, Kim Simmons and former ILM model maker / animator Jon Seay who will bring along actual pieces of the Death Star.
There will be vendor tables filled with Star Wars collectibles, a lightsaber training course by the Capital City Jedi, appearances by local 501st and Rebel Legion costuming groups, trivia contest, door prizes plus a silent auction of SW merchandise to benefit Children’s Miracle Network, along with ALL food sales and a portion of ticket sales as well.
Please check out more info at jediconwv.net, and if you’re in the area stop by and enjoy the fun and help contribute to a great cause!

The Washington DC Metro Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) will have a great Fall picnic on Saturday, September 11th, 2010 in Gambrills, MD.
The pavilion of the Bell Branch Athletic Complex will be the site of the club’s annual Anniversary celebration, which will feature the usual food, fun, and fellowship. Special events at this year’s picnic will be a “Death Star Trench” mini-golf course and a wampa cave photo-op, which were featured attractions at the club’s booth at Celebration 5 last month.
If you’re in the Washington DC / Baltimore / Annapolis area this Saturday afternoon, please stop by, meet your fellow collectors, and join in the fun! Check out our website www.dcswcc.org and firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
