In the US, this item is exclusive to Kmart, but in Mexico, collectors will be able to score the 6″ Black Series Kylo Ren (Starkiller Base) figure at Walmart.
Thanks to @Rodzam71 on Twitter for the info.
You might have missed this on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Periscope social media channels last night, but I was putting the finishing touches on the toyguide update for the Walgreens Exclusive 6″ Darth Vader (Emperor’s Wrath) and snapped the above photograph. This is not a Photoshop trick or filter, this is the actual figure “lighting up”. Find out how it was achieved by watching the video on our YouTube channel.
Walgreens.com is now taking orders (with immediate availability) for their exclusive 6″ Black Series Darth Vader (Emperor’s Wrath).
UPDATE: Currently sold out
Vinylmation World alerts us to a new Darth Vader Vinylmation Eachez release on the way. The “unmasked” version will be released at a 9/10 ratio, while the “masked” version will be the variant/chase at 1:10.
Upon my late night/early morning toy run, I stumbled across a case of the 6″ Black Series Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper (check out the full toyguide update and overview). You can watch the live video of my toy find through our Periscope channel.
The Yakface Toyguide updates continue with the addition of the Walmart Exclusive 6″ Battlefront Imperial Shock Trooper from The Black Series.
PROS: The Shock Trooper is a solid, no-brainer offering from Hasbro. Having a cross-sell product for the game required little additional investment other than a new deco for the existing trooper and a new attractive box. The deco for the figure is well applied for the most part, but discerning collectors may want to pick and choose from the available figures at retail in order to obtain the best product sample.
CONS: It is early yet to offer any real cons on the figure itself (other than the slight leg bowing due to the packaging) but the relaying of information from the manufacturer and retailer to collectors that this was even going to be available was/is lacking. There seems to be a disconnect between all parties in knowing what is available (and when) to the consumer. With the planned marketing and product release push that Star Wars Battlefront received, you’d think that tie-in promotional product such as this would be better communicated and advertised to the public.
Head to the toyguide for our detailed image gallery and to judge for yourself whether this figure is worth adding to your collection.
