Today we update with a closer look at the upcoming Quinlan Vos figure from the Clone Wars line. Not much is known yet about Master Vos’ role in Season 3, but judging by his pack-in “speederboard” it looks like this Jedi will be in for some gnarly adventures! Cowabunga!
UPDATE: A few eagle-eyed readers have observed that the lightsaber looks to have the ability to attach to the included speederboard for extra play value. It is unknown if this is an actual toy feature or if we’ll see this functionality play out in the series itself. Click the mock up image above for a down and dirty interpretation of what this combo might look like.
Hasbro has indicated time and again that the vintage push is going to pull collectors back into the mix that they feel abandoned them recently.
Now that many of us have had a few weeks to take in the new product and gather our own impressions, how is the line doing so far at retail? Does it look like it’s going to be a success? Or has Hasbro missed the boat?
We’ve updated our Facebook page with the latest figures added to Hasbro’s booth consisting if figures from the Attack of the Clones wave, Battle of Endor four packs and more. Look for more updates later tonight!
PROS: A major improvement over the first attempt back in 2008. Great detailing on the armor/jumpsuit and the sculpt selection couldn’t have been better.
CONS: None really unless you live in an area without a K-Mart. A bloodied face paint job would have really put this figure over the top. Helmet is a little snug which lends itself to deforming over the head (especially over the nose). Ships with the belt assembled backward but easily correctable if you are an opener.

As if you need even more reason to buy the new Imperial AT-AT, Toys”R”Us has this available for $89.99 this week – saving you $10. It’s a definite steal at this price and if you order it online, shipping is FREE, so get yours today!
Hasbro will be hosting the Galactic Swap Meet at the Hasbro booth at Celebration V! Bring your surplus Build-a-Droid parts and trade with us, and other fans, as our booth becomes the hub for some serious droid-part-swapping!
We will have a limited supply of complete parts available for 14 of the buildable droids from the Legacy/Droid Factory basic figure line (see attached poster for exact droids we will have). Just bring your extra Legacy/Droid Factory parts and trade them 1-for-1 for parts you need to complete your unfinished droids.
Even if you don’t see the droids for which you need parts on the list, bring what you have anyway….there’s always a chance that another fan will have what you need.
To ensure that as many people as possible can complete their droids, we ask that only 2 Droid pieces be exchanged per person per day.
It looks like Hasbro heard our cries about the initial mold chosen for the Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Saga Legends line. As you may have seen, the first shipments of this figure included a repack of the mold first used in 2003 Saga line as the Outlander Nightclub version. New cases shipping now look to have switched this figure out for the more respectable 2008 TAC mold. No word yet if a similar upgrade to the Jango Fett is in the works.
Daniel Logan’s (aka Boba Fett in AOTC and The Clone Wars) Twitter posting further confirms the upcoming Slave I that Hasbro conveniently omitted from SDCC after it was revealed/spoiled onSandtroopers.com. Hasbro sent Daniel a swag package full of Boba Fett themed merchandise. Click the photo above to check it out!
The Yakface Toyguide updates resume today with the addition of the Toys”R”Us Exclusive Clone WarsKul Teska
PROS:Despite its immense size, Hasbro managed to pack all the articulation and sculpted details that we’ve become accustomed to on figures a third of its stature. The unique packaging also sets this figure apart from the basic figure line.
CONS: If you haven’t played the game, I doubt you know who this dude is. The $14.99 price point is a bit high but considering it uses enough plastic to make two and a half figures, I guess it seems about right.
