Black Series Theory: Who Is “Santa Fe 1”?

First off, let me preface this article with the caveat stating that I have NO IDEA as of now who the figure code named “Santa Fe 1” is but based on some logic and reasonable deductions, I think this theory could play out. Click on through for my ramblings on the matter.

The identity of “Santa Fe 1” has been kept under wraps for some time and there has been a fair amount of speculation as to whom it may be such as Season 2 characters like Cobb Vanth and more recently, Boba Fett. In various social media conversations with inquiring collectors, I have mentioned that this “Santa Fe 1” figure is from The Bad Batch series which officially has two figures in wave 29: Hunter “Virginia” and Crosshair “Florida” with others also in the works. The Wave 29 also consists of Assaj Ventress “Illinois” and the recently revealed Bo-Katan “Wisconsin”, the latter was initially thought to be from The Clone Wars but revealed to be from The Mandalorian.

Last week, we were treated to the official trailer for The Bad Batch which surprisingly revealed/confirmed that Fennic Shand is also a part of the series. I suspect that reveal is the reason that “Santa Fe 1” has been a mystery for so long and we’ll be getting her as part of The Bad Batch run of Black Series figures .

Supporting evidence:

The Mandalorian already has 11 figures as part of the new Black Series line look. To help fill out figures for The Bad Batch packaging, she may have been held back until the trailer dropped.

-“Santa Fe” correlates to “Fennic Shand” by just reversing the first letters of each word.

– Much like “Huck 1” and “Huck 2” designations for the Din Djarin figures, “Santa Fe 1” may tie to Fennic’s Bad Batch design with another figure from The Mandalorian planned for a later time.

Again, this is all SPECULATION on my part and I may be reading too much into it, but I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility.

What do you think? Feel free to comment with your speculation and/or thought to my ramblings.
