Today we spotlight more of the great working being showcased in the Yakface forums!

First, Peakob1 updates with several great new customs, including an outstanding revamp of the Ewok, Teebo.

Then we shift over and check out some amazing work from Stocos28 – which includes a hardcore representation of a new Sith Lord from the upcoming TOR video game – check out his latest customs here.

Last but not least, forum member Knighthawk reveals some fantastic new customs of his own, including two version of a cool fan fiction female character living a double life in the Star Wars universe.

UPDATE: Tragedy Strikes the Star Wars Community

We have some very sad news to share as a great friend in the Yakface community has passed away tragically.   Mike Martinez, also known around the customizing community as Mercury Art Studios, was killed in a car accident on July 2.

Mike was a moderator and active customizer in our forums, and a full time staff member at Echobasenews.com – he was also running a new customizing contest over there, which will still be completed – so if you have ever been into customizing, there would be no better tribute to a fellow collector than to enter a custom of your own into this contest that he worked so hard to put together here.

The good folks at Imperialshipyards.net are pitching in to help his family by collecting donations, and there has also been an outpouring of support and condolences on his Facebook page.

Above all, Mike was a great person and a devoted father.  He will be sorely missed and our prayers and thoughts are with his family and those closest to him.

A Tribute to Yak’s Pub

Our good pal Niktom has been serving up laughs at Yakspub.com since 2006, and given a nearly endless supply of jokes that Star Wars fans throughout the galaxy can enjoy.

As with all good things, the popular comic strip will be coming to and end soon.  Head on over to Yakspub.com for the official announcement, and we have also opened an appreciation thread dedicated to this amazing series here in the Yakface Forums.
