Deadline.com has posted an exclusive rumor/report stating that due to the lackluster reception of Episode I in 3D there will no further prequel 3D releases and instead focus their resources on production of the sequel trilogy. Again, this is an unconfirmed rumor at this point so stay tuned for further developments…
Update: StarWars.com confirms that further 3D releases are postponed.

Dark Horse Comics today has announced that the successful Star Wars #1, by Brian Wood, is headed back for a third printing. Watch for it at your local comic shop on Feb. 27.

io9.com has an exclusive report that Joe Schrieber, author of Death Troopers, has penned a new novel centered on Darth Maul. Titled, Maul: Lockdown, the story takes place before the events of Episode I where Maul is sent on a secret mission by Darth Sidious to infiltrate a crime organization from within a prison. Vulture.com is reporting that Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, 300) is rumored to be developing a Jedi-centric Star Wars film based in part on Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai. Read on for additional details.

This Saturday, January 5th, The Clone Wars reaches its milestone of 100 episodes. While not all episodes have hit the mark (honestly, what TV show has?) the show overall has accomplished an amazing feat in both production quality and by doing its job in invoking that feeling from a galaxy far, far away.
