StarWars.com updates today with the official announcement of Star Wars Storyboards: The Prequels by J.W. Rinzler. This book delves into some of the traditionally drawn storyboards that served as guides for the digital pre-viz animatics and filming of the prequel trilogy. Movies.com has posted part of an unreleased documentary for the Making of the The Empire Strikes Back. Within the 15 minutes of footage you’ll see interviews, behind-the-scenes filming and the creation of the amazing practical effects and matte paintings by the legend, Ralph McQuarrie and more. Let’s hope complete documentary sees release someday.

Star Wars fans will be looking at a busy fall in 2013 with both AOTC and ROTS receiving the 3D treatment, as both films will released in theaters again, this time just a few weeks apart! Attack of the Clones will be released on September 20th, 2013, and Revenge of the Sith on October 11th, 2013.
