Star Wars was back in a big way at San Diego Comic-Con 2015. Hasbro and Hot Toys competed for the most impressive TIE Fighter on the floor. eFX filled a booth with upcoming prop replicas–including a fully functional, life-sized R2-D2, and Gentle Giant couldn’t satiate the demand for both the Jumbo and mini-Bust versions of Boba Fett.
Marjorie and Arnie were there on the floor of the con the entire time, posting interviews, panels, and more to the Star Wars Action News YouTube channel. Now you can download their coverage to your iPhone and feel like you were there at the convention!

Hot Toys Teases 1:6 Scale Complete Millennium Falcon
You thought that cockpit was impressive? Hot Toys has teased a complete 1:6 scale Millennium Falcon on their Facebook page. I wouldn’t expect it to ever be attainable by anyone except for those with the deepest pockets, but it will be on display at the Ani-Con this week in Hong Kong.

One With the Force…
It is with a heavy heart that we report tonight that one of our community forum members, Mark Grimshaw, passed away today from cancer.
Mark was known as Grimace in our community, and often shared a fun comic strip in our forums called Karaoke in the Cantina. He was great at bringing a fun sense of humor with these and was active across our boards. He had a strong passion for the Original Trilogy, and an impressive collection of custom figures he had purchased and also some he even created himself.
Any thoughts one has to share can be posted in the comments section here or in his Karaoke in the Cantina thread; which is a great place to look back and reminisce about the contributions he made to our community.
Personal Note: Thank you Grimace for all of your activity here at Yakface over the years and helping make our forums what they are today. You were always great to chat with about the hobby and a positive part of our community. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. God Bless, and MTFBWY – Always.
Lucasfilm Issues Statement Regarding Controversial GQ Photos
We’re sure you’ve seen or at least heard of the recent controversy surrounding some racy images published by GQ Magazine involving a couple Star Wars characters. We won’t be publishing the images or the links here due to the varied ages of our readership, but Lucasfilm has issued the following statement.
It’s not surprising that GQ would want to capitalize on the cultural cachet of Star Wars, but Lucasfilm and Disney did not authorize, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.
