The D23 Fan Club site has updated today announcing what collectors can expect for some of the Disney Store exclusives issued for the event.
Highlights include:
The Disney Store shop will feature Star Wars apparel, accessories, drinkware, and, of course, collectibles. Notable highlights of the assortment are the limited-edition Star Wars Elite Series Premium Action Figures, featuring iconic hero and villain duos: Princess Leia and Darth Vader; Rey and Kylo Ren; and Jyn Erso and Director Orson Krennic. Each duo retails for $79.95 and is limited to an edition size of 1,000.
Well if this doesn’t scream vintage flashback, I don’t know what does. There are multiple reports on the 6″ Elite Series Facebook Group of collectors finding brown hair and yellow hair variants of the Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Disguise at Disney Stores.
Yahoo has posted an exclusive (i.e. official) first look at several exclusive item coming this Thursday, May 25 to Disney Stores. Head on over to check out the Elite Series Han and Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise Two Pack, ornaments, figurine/statue, pins set, Tsum Tsums and more.
Last week for May the 4th, my daughters had a special “Star Wars Day” function for school where they encouraged the kids to dress up as their favorite character. Naturally, I was all for this but felt the need to take it a step further so I took it upon myself to add a bit of flare to my daughter’s Jyn Erso costume and give her her own stolen Death Star Data Tape stunt prop. Click on through to check out a few in-progress images as well as the final outfit.
Disney Store has posted a preview of their next assortment of Star Wars-themed Tsum Tsum plush characters. Available on April 4, the Revenge of the Sith set includes General Grevious, Clone Trooper*, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker**.
*Note the Phase I design for the Clone Trooper and not the proper Phase II
**I also assume that the image take for the graphic above has been horizontally flipped and Anakin’s scar is over the wrong eye.
A new Disney Store Elite Series Droid Gift Pack has been found at the Imagineering Campus Disney Store in Glendale, CA. The set includes BB-8, C-3PO and R2-D2 and retails for $60.00. Thanks to luchador71 for the heads-up.
A couple weeks ago we shared word that the Disney Store would soon be offering three updated Elite Series Die Cast figures in the US. Disney Store has confirmed via Instagram that they will be available in early April.
Members of the Elite Series Collectors group on Facebook are reporting* the discovery for 3 “new” Elite Series figures coming soon to Disney Stores in the UK (and the US). Soon, you be able to add Riot Gear Stormtrooper, Finn with Lightsaber and Squad Leader Stormtrooper to your collection. Also of interest is a slight packaging refresh for the line which looks to universalize the box to cut down the cost of printing, requiring only a sticker to differentiate each character.
Thanks to Corey for First Order Transmissions for the heads-up.
Yakface and Flyguy are back after the holidays and the release of Rogue One to ring in the new year with the latest in Star Wars collecting and news – including the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope. Released in the UK a couple weeks ago, reports are coming in that the Elite Series Die Cast First Order TIE Fighter Pilot is now available in the US exclusively at Disney Stores. This figure is not available online as of this post but if you’re interested you may wish to brave the post-holiday mall traffic to try to secure one of them as the die cast Elite Series line is on sale for $14.99 each.
