Followers of the Clone Wars series have known for months that Darth Maul was teased last season as brother of Savage Opress. With the return Episode I to theatres in 2012, Lucasfilm is cashing in on the obvious tie-in and is announcing that Maul will at last be revealing himself to the Jedi (again, and shirtless) in the Clone Wars in 2012. We don’t yet know how he managed to survive being defeated by Obi-Wan but one thing’s for sure, it will make for some interesting episodes. Even though Steve Sansweet has moved on from his role as Lucasfilm’s Fan Ambassador, he has not severed all ties with Lucas & Co. As Steve posted today via Facebook, he will remain as a consultant for Lucasfilm with the title of Fan Relations Advisor.
About every 2 or 3 months, a rumor is floated out there that there are new Star Wars movies in the works. Today, iesb.net is reporting that there are reliable “inside sources” indicating that this may in fact be the case. Take the link and see what you think.
