Hasbro also sends word detailing the release of the upcoming Vintage 9-Pack.
It’s a very exciting time for Star Wars as the extraordinary Target exclusive Vintage 9-pack will be going on sale soon (Nov. 28th). There are two important things to note with this set. First, this set will be more limited than some of our other recent exclusives. Second, Target (and we) are so excited about the Vintage collection overall and these 3-packs that we have decided to keep this “collection within a collection” idea going at Target. Another wave of 3 3-packs will be coming in Spring and like these, they follow the Vintage character lineups. We think this an exciting development, and thanks to Target’s support, hopefully fans will be treated to even more in this series. Thanks again for the support and be sure to get to Target soon. Happy Holidays – the Hasbro Star Wars team.
There you have it! Start looking for this exclusive set next week.
Our Imperial allies at Sandtroopers.com have confirmed the rumored Clone Wars 2-pks we reported here last week. These will be Target exclusives and follow the same format as the current 2-pks that are currently available there. Check out images of these sets after the jump!
We’re receiving more reports of the Vintage ROTJ wave (wave 3) hitting all over the US. The latest is from Yakface reader and forum member Michael Brunn. He found a few from this wave at his local Denver, CO Target yesterday.
So, it appears that Target is the place to check this week for the newest figures in the Vintage Collection.
If you’ve been holding back on Target’s exclusive Hoth Sets, they are on sale this week for $34.99. You will also find Vintage figures for $6.99 and the Vintage Snowspeeder and TIE Fighter for $19.99 – not bad!
Despite my local Target not resetting for the glut of new products scheduled this week, they have at least enacted several Temporary Price Reductions on the 2009 Series of Geonosis Arena Sets (down to $9.99 each) and several of the Lego Sets. Check your stores for similar deals
Yakface Reader Steven writes in with a follow-up to our previous report on the possibility of a limit of 2 per customer on the Hoth Box Sets:
Hey, I’m a Target employee and thought I’d give you the 411 on exclusives here at the store in TN I work at. The 2 per customer rule is kind of a generic rule for all extremely collectible toys, and to be quite honest, unless it was like the Zu Zu Pets were last Christmas, 99.9% of the cashiers really don’t care. As long as you don’t come through with ten of the same thing, you should be cool. Anyway, I’ve been reading for a long time, and it’s always good to see new info on the site!
While shopping at Target today, I received a coupon with my receipt for $5.00 off any $30.00 Hasbro Star Wars purchase. This wasn’t the result of buying some Star Wars items, it printed up even though I didn’t buy anything toy related at all. With all the new exclusives hitting Target, savings like this will definitely come in handy. So keep an eye on those Target receipts!
Yakreader Chad writes in today letting collectors know that the “Only at Target” exclusive stickers are easily removable from the Vintage Snowspeeder and Imperial TIE Fighter boxes giving collectors the option to display without them.
Today I was able to score the new Hoth Box Sets at Target, and was told by a manager that there was a limit of two per customer. If anyone else has experienced this or can back this up, please share your thoughts in the forums.
