FAO Shuttle Update

Yak Reader Rod sent in the latest news on the Imperial Shuttle:
“Well, I just got off the phone with an FAO representative and he informed me that the release date is still January 10th and we will be seeing the charge on our card within 24 hours of the item leaving their warehouse for our doorstep.
He says that the computer shows that FAO on-line is getting 3,000. I am guessing that the other 2,000 will be going to the actual retail stores.
The weird thing is that after all this talk that FAO is not taking anymore orders for them and the site saying they are out of stock, he tells me that of the 3,000, only 2,801 are accounted for. So if anybody called right now, you could order one. Weird, uh?
Then again, remember this is what one preson said. Even though it came from somebody at FAO it doesn’t mean it is set in stone.
But I thought some of you might want to know.”

The Wal-Mart at North Town Mall in Springfield had the clean face Endor Rebel Soldier, Jango Fett Salve-1 Pilot, Padme Pilot, Tusken Raider with Massiff, Geonosian warriors with Massiff, Watto and Anakin Tatooine Attack, as wel as lots of others. Also a few electronic Obi-Wan’s and Jangos. Nothing new with Unleashed.
The Toys R Us on BattleField has lots of Darth Maul Sith Training, Chewbacca Bespin, bearded Endor Rebel Soldiers, Sneak Preview Zams, and regular Zams, and lots more. If you’re in the area you might find what you need.

It looks like the IMAX release of Clones will propel E2 over #11 Return of the Jedi in the next week. After last weekend’s totals, Clones lifetime gross is less than $110,000.00 behind return of the Jedi’s lifetime gross, and it still has a chance to eclipse the Lion King to take th #10 spot on the all time highest grossing list.

“On the new trash compactor playsets each seperate set comes with a piece of the dianoga sea creature. when you open it you can remove the parts of the dianoga from the playset and are able to put the two parts together to make one whole dianoga figure/creature.I had not heard of this being reported on any of the sites so I thought I would write in. we finally got the dianoga creature we have been asking for. Clones Cartoon

TheForce.Net posted a note that strongly indicates that the Cartoon Network deal has hit the wall.
Here’s a snippet…
Unfortunately, everyone here is talking about the Clone War series in the past tense. As in, not going to happen. The project was going to be expansive – the Cartoon Network wanted some of a toy line and merchandising based on the new sub-franchise themselves, and Six Flags even wanted to make rides centered on them.
But the bottom line is that everyone on this end really wants to do it – but wants more than Lucasfilm will offer. As always, it seems to have boiled down to money unless someone blinks first.
