I always like looking for the unusual items from the multitude of Star Wars items that have been produced, whether meant for purchase by the masses or the fascinating internal cast, crew and actual prop items used in the film.
Today’s auction is for a Death Star Gun Tower screen used movie prop from A New Hope. While it would be the coolest thing ever to recieve this as a Christmas gift, I know that most collectors including myself simply cannot afford an item in this price range. However, with that being said it is still enjoyable to see offered as most props are stashed away in the Lucasfilm archives.

The new case had a recarded 1x Yoda Dagobah training, 1x Han Solo Mos Eisley Escape, 1x Chewbacca, 1x Biker Scout, 1x Stormtrooper, 1x Sandtrooper, 2x Myo (cantina alien), 2x Dannik Jerriko(cantina alien) and 2x Fettipern Trevaqq(cantina alien). All of these are numbered to be a part of a new line continuing after the Sly Moore and Pablo Jill wave that just hit Toys R Us.

Bounty Hunting Today: POTF Chewbacca Bowcaster

If you have seen the Episode III teaser trailer, it is was made clear that a certain favorite character from the classic Trilogy would be making a triumphant return to the Star Wars Universe on the big screen. While I know I am counting down the days until the premiere of the final chapter in the Star Wars film saga, I am doing my best to wait patiently like everyone else.
While I am waiting and attempting to quietly shop for Christmas bargains online (truly avoiding the rush of “Black Friday”) I just happened to find myself surfing around on the good old tried and true Ebay. As usual, I found many a nice item there to add to my watch list and to share with all you wonderful YakReaders today.
Back in 1996 when Kenner was still Kenner and the POTF line was still young, a few really awesome role-playing sets were available. Plans for some similar role-playing sets with toy weapons were drawn up and conceptualized in 1985 when the original POTF line was fading from the retail shelves. The modern day role-playing sets are everything the old designs had intended and more.
Of the sets made, today’s auction features the Luke and Chewbacca sets mint in box. The other set made was a Boba Fett that included plastic armor. The Luke set has a blaster that “shoots” foam suction cupped ammo, a set of Macrobinoculars and utility belt. The Chewbacca set is the Wookie’s own Bowcaster which also “shoots” the same foam suction cupped ammo. While these sets are not exactly prop replica accurate, they are still fun to add to a collection or best of all allow a child to play with and recreate scenes from some of the best movies I know!

Remember this set includes reissues of the Gungan Warrior, Naboo Royal Guard, Battle Droid (tan), a revised Captain Tarpals with articulated knees, and a revised Kaadu with the tail feathers.
