Following The Enloe Chronicles photonovel series that concluded in late 2010, pre-work continues for the next series that launches in the OT era, The Enloe Trials.
While official previews are still several months out, we do have several more new custom characters to introduce, as well some new versions of established characters from the series.
The current Yakfinities Customizing Challenge continues, but only has about one month left!
If you’re new to customizing or an aging veteran like myself, we invite you to hop on into the forums and join in by submitting your own custom smuggler!
As much as we love Hasbro’s sculpts, there are times when a talented customizer comes along and creates a mold that blows us away… fans will recall that back in February, we spotlighted some amazing custom head sculpts by customizer Evergray.
Now, he’s done it once again with some more amazing sculpts that we only wish we could get our hands on! See the Stormtrooper comparison above – how cool would it be nice for them to adopt something more like the above helmet on the right as a standard moving forward?
Check out more of Evergray’s work, and share your thoughts after the jump!
Our friends at Jeditemplearchives.com are reporting that the latest wave of Clone Wars figures have surfaced at a Wal-Mart in Hilltown, PA. Click on the image above for a closer look.
Yakface forumite Darth Kikinou (founder of Photonovelalliance.com) has released the latest installment in his prequel based photonovel series, Guardians of Peace and Justice.
Kick back for a bit and enjoy all the customs, dioramas, and creative storyline in this latest adventure after the jump!
Last month we spotlighted the amazing work of forum member TOYSdeFORCE in the Yakface forums, and now we have received notice that using the same custom body mold, there will be some colorful variants including variations of armor and accessories.
Things are looking like there will even be a small production run for collectors to be able to purchase their own figures!
For more information, check out their official Warlordarian blog!
You’ll want to make sure that Toys”R”Us is on your list of retail stops this week, as they are running another of their 2/$10.99 sales on basic Hasbro figures – Star Wars, GI Joe, and other Hasbro brands are included – and for once, the Vintage figures are included as well! Good luck on those toy runs, with these prices it’s a good excuse to add a couple more army builders, stock up for customs, etc… and as a reminder, Wal-Mart is usually pretty good about matching competitor prices if you bring an ad in with you!
UPDATE: Although some stores may honor the promotion on the Vintage Collection, not all stores do, nor does the ToysRUs.com website.
In spite of Hasbro’s VP of Global Brand Management indicating in a recent interview at Echobasenews.com that they had resolved the issue with yellowing of figures, it seems as though they still haven’t really addressed the problem (at least not yet).
Over the past year or so, collectors are very aware of extreme cases of this on the BD # 58 Spacetrooper, TVC # 14 Sandtrooper and TVC # 15 Clone Trooper (as well as some Clone Wars Clone Troopers to a lesser extent). But now it’s being seen on the TVC # 52 Rebel Fleet Trooper’s helmet, and even the Clone Trooper helmet in the AOTC Blu Ray Commemorative set.
Our friends at Jedidefender.com have provided a comparison pic of this quality control issue on the Rebel Fleet Trooper and forum members Rum Sleg and Nygmex at Rebelscum.comalso reported this problem recently as well.
So, what’s it going to take for Hasbro to address this issue once and for all? Share your thoughts after the jump!
